Chocolate Making Classes

My wife and I had an amazing time on this experience day it was both fun and educational! The host absolutely made it with his brilliant sense of humour and delivery of the experience

Highly recommend this experience! John the host was really funny Full step by step guild through each process of the experience. You get to meet other people as if your not in a large group you sit with other couple or small groups. We made out own martinis and were given one glass of Prosecco half way through. We made a chocolate slab which you can flavour. Then we made chocolate ganache which we could decorating and flavour with spice rum if we wanted to.

Such a great experience! Loads of chocolate tasting, taught the whole making process and with a really helpful guide :)

We liked it so much 2 years ago my granddaughter wanted to do it again for her birthday

What a great night. Our chocolatier, John, was an absolutely fabulous host, teaching us the craft to make the most delicious cocktails (mojitos and espresso martinis) and how to master the creation of the perfect chocolate truffle. A wonderful night with a perfect host to look after us. Thank you. Warning... the whole experience involves a lot of chocolate. Inhaling... wearing...etc. Utterly fab. Would recommend and do all over again!

The staff were great and really good at explaining what you had to do. I'm not the most creative of people but I was really pleased with what I made. My chocolates looked and tasted delicious. I learnt some things about chocolate making and decorating that will help me going forwards.

A fun way to spend a couple of hours. Making delicious chocolate martinis to drink there and truffles to take home. The instructor was very friendly and made it fun. Would recommend it for all ages.

A family member bought the Hotel Chocolat Bean to Bar Experience for my birthday present. I love chocolate so this was heaven for me. Chocolate tasting, the history of the bean to the shop, all the processes involved and making our own chocolate bar. And Prosecco, what more could you want. Josh was our brilliant host who had the right amount of ability to entertain and inform us as well.

This was a really interesting experience. Amy, the teacher, was very knowledgeable and explained about the types of chocolate we were trying in a fun and interesting way. There were 15 types of chocolate to try, mostly dark, all washed down with a lovely glass of fizz. We learnt lots at the same time as having an enjoyable experience. The goodie bag was full of lovely choc plus at the end we got 20% off in the shop to buy our favourite tastings.

My boyfriend and I had the best time at Hotel Chocolat’s tasting experience. Very interesting and tasty all at once! My boyfriend isn’t so keen on dark chocolate, he likes white chocolate which isn’t offered so much , but he still actually enjoyed the flavours of the chocolate he tried more than he expected ! He loved hearing the history and making of chocolate too. So friendly, fun and a great team of people leading the workshop too!

I learnt more than I expected on this course. Not just the macaroons, but also Swiss meringue and buttercream, home made lemon curd, raspberry mouse, tempering chocolate and making truffles. We weren’t just watching but taking part. We were also treated to lovely home made lunch by the chef who was teaching us, who also sent all the recipes to us afterwards. A great day out where you will learn everything you expect and more.
