Overview
Learn the fascinating art of chocolate-making with the Bean to Bar Experience for Two at Hotel Chocolat. Hosted by an expert resident chocolatier, you will have the opportunity to make your own chocolate bar from scratch, using specialist cocoa beans from Hotel Chocolat’s Saint Lucian plantation.
Guests will begin with a short tasting session, over a glass of prosecco, as they learn all about the process of transforming roasted cocoa beans into the nation’s favourite treat, before getting a tour of the onsite chocolate making process, and enjoying a tempering demonstration. Then it’s time to make your very own chocolate masterpieces. Each guest will take creations home in a delicious goody bag of luxury Hotel Chocolat treats, which includes an exclusive 10% off in-store on the day.

What happens on the day?
Head to your chosen location for a day of learning the art of chocolate-making from the experts. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco each as you watch master chocolatiers transform roasted cocoa beans into delicious chocolate bars.
Learn about the art of tempering, enjoy some sampling, and then have a go for yourselves. You’ll have the chance to produce a selection of your own chocolate masterpieces, which you’ll take home alongside a delicious goody bag of luxury Hotel Chocolat treats each.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

The perfect experience for a chocolate lover!
My boyfriend and I had the best time at Hotel Chocolat’s tasting experience. Very interesting and tasty all at once! My boyfriend isn’t so keen on dark chocolate, he likes white chocolate which isn’t offered so much , but he still actually enjoyed the flavours of the chocolate he tried more than he expected ! He loved hearing the history and making of chocolate too. So friendly, fun and a great team of people leading the workshop too!

Great experience
I was given this as a birthday gift and wasn’t sure what to expect. We chose the Covent Garden store and from start to finish we couldn’t fault it. A couple of glasses of Prosecco, chocolate to taste, making our own bars, learning about the beans and the making process as well as watching tempering made this a very enjoyable experience. The staff looking after us were very knowledgable. I would recommend as a gift if you are looking for something different.

Absolutely brilliant couple of hours at Hotel Chocolate in Monmouth Street. Enjoyed the talk and didn’t realise how labour intensive it is to make chocolate. Loved the making experience and of course the eating! Thank you.

Surprised how much we enjoyed it
Experience bought for us as a Xmas present and forgot about it until reminded about it, booked at Hotel Chocolat leeds, did not realise Ed Sheeran was on the same weekend so Leeds was very busy, we were introduced to Amy who was running the workshop, she was very knowledgable about the art of choclate making and the choice and availability of the best cocoa beans, she was assisted by Sam who was very funny and made the actual process of chocolate making very enjoyable.

Fun, interesting and delicious!
Our Bean to Bar experience was fantastic! I was so excited when I received this experience as a birthday present but it was even better than I anticipated. Harry was a brilliant host, we learned so much about the science of making the chocolate and then the making itself was brilliant! Combined with brilliant hosting by the team, with refreshments throughout, we were over the moon with the day! Thank you!

Choc Heaven
We had a great night last night at Cambridge location. Although a bit tricky to find as we hadn’t realised the 2 shopping centres merge and was walking round outside for a little while confused. Our host was very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting stuff. Loved the tasting at beginning, goody bags, making etc. Cambridge itself was a lovely place to spend afternoon. Parked in grand Arcade and only few min walk (although very expensive). Would definitely recommend

Brilliant birthday treat

Amazing day for chocolate lovers!
This experience was better than I could have imagined, first you do some chocolate tasting whilst they take you through the origins of their cacao and then you get to make your own chocolate bar from scratch, literally from bean to bar! You grind up the beans and add all the other ingredients until you have liquid chocolate and then you set it on the moulds! Amazing experienced loved every second!

Great fun - Bean to Bar, Hotel Chocolat
The experience was a gift and it could not have been easier to activate the voucher and then book directly with Hotel Chocolat. The experience itself was entertaining and fun, the staff working there were great and we learnt a lot about chocolate, how it is made and got to experience making some ourselves. All in all I would recommend!

Xmas Present
Bought as an Xmas present from my son and daughter. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were friendly, funny, very knowledgeable and we had a hands on experience with lots of tasting and a gift at the end. Would definitely recommend it.

Really interesting and enjoyable experience
We had a really enjoyable time with Hotel Chocolat - the presenter, Duncan, was very welcoming and informative and the experience covered everything we had been promised. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco, enjoyed tasting different varieties of chocolate before learning about the whole chocolate making process and then hand making our own chocolate bars. I would definitely recommend this experience.

Fantastic evening
Fantastic experience-Simon the chocolatier was very knowledgeable and helped us produce a delicious chocolate bar! Over a glass of champagne we tasted different strengths of chocolate & found out about the whole process in a fun and informative presentation. We left with goodie bags and also had the opportunity to shop.

Super sweet and tasty
We were given this as a Xmas present and really enjoyed it at the Covent Garden Hotel Chocolate! Very good balance between facts, tasting and practice, further enhanced by a great atmosphere and Prosecco! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the 10%off upstairs in the shop! Delicious! Would highly recommend! Very easy to book!

Fantastic Afternoon
We had a fantastic afternoon at Hotel Chocolat. We weren’t sure what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed the mix of education, tastings and making our own chocolate bar. It was all carried out in a very relaxed and informal environment which gave a wonderful atmosphere knowing. Would highly recommend.

Chocolate Heaven
What a fun afternoon my friend and I had at our Bean to Bar Experience last week at the Covent Garden Hotel Chocolat. We looked at chocolate, listened (yes really) to chocolate, tasted chocolate and made our own, while sipping on prosecco. We learned loads too, in a really fun way. I'll definitely be back to do this again

Well and truely chocolated!
My husband and I were bought this experience as a Christmas present and being chocolate lovers it was an ideal gift! We had an absolutely awesome time and not only was it interesting it was well organised, fun and totally hands on and interactive. Informative and fun! Lovely venue
I wasn’t sure what to expect but this exceeded expectations! A fun couple of hours learning about chocolate, where it’s from and how it’s made! Comparable to wine with its flavours and harvest process - makes chocolate eating much more of a discussion rather than a race! Thank you to Simon and all the team.

A great Chocolat experience
My daughter bought me the experience for my birthday and what a treat it was, Dominic our 'tutor' was brilliant, very knowledgable as you may expect but also very affable and made sure he inlcuded everyone in our small group, not only did he show us how chocolate was made but we also got to make our own bars, with varying degrees of success. We were able to take those home with us along with a goodie bag of other treats. It was a very enjoyable evening and one I would highly recommend.

Anyone who likes chocolate must do this.
This was a surprisingly excellent experience that not only gave me the chance to taste amazing chocolate, but also make one! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, passionate about chocolate and willing to help you out.

A great evening of fun
Surprisingly fun. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning all about the cacao farming and production process. When it came to trying/making chocolate it was unfortunately lacking. We only tried 2 dark chocolates and 1 caramel chocolate. Not much variety. When it then came to making some it was fun to grind the cacao nibs but ultimately we then added that to 80% pre-made product and chilled, that’s it. No flavours or decorations or tempuring experience. A shame!

Mediocre
The host was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. However, it didn’t feel good value for money (mostly being talked to) & disappointing we only got to try 3 small pieces of chocolate.
