Discover the fascinating secrets of being a master chocolatier with the Chocolate Bar Making Workshop for Two at York Cocoa Works.
Home to the world’s most famous chocolate bar the Kit Kat, you’ll experience first-hand the city’s love for all things cocoa as you craft your very own chocolate using rare flavours. The session begins with a lesson on the factory’s origins of cocoa and the manufacturing process that takes place on site.
You’ll try a selection of mouth-watering white, milk and dark chocolate before choosing your chocolate to mould, flavour and design into a chocolate bar. Beautifully wrapped, each of you will take home your finished creations to continue satisfying your sweet tooth long after the workshop is over.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at York Cocoa Works, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the team, ready for your 60 minute workshop. You’ll begin with a detailed introduction, learning the factory’s cocoa origins and its manufacturing process.
Try a selection of white, milk and dark chocolate before working with your chosen chocolate to mould, decorate and design into a chocolate bar each to take home.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
