A cultural scene unlike any other in the UK, picture-perfect beaches, and more things to do than you can shake a stick at: there’s a reason Brighton is Britain’s best loved seaside city. From its position as the country’s foremost LGBT+ pioneer, to its abundance of events, restaurants and bars, there’s quite literally something for everyone to enjoy here.

Just a hop, skip and a jump from the coast, Canterbury strikes an inimitable balance of thriving student city, historical haven, and quaint yet quirky charm. Whilst its eponymous cathedral affords it official status as a city (and UNESCO World Heritage Site, for that matter), it’s a far cry from your typical metropolis.

Samuel Johnson famously wrote that when you're tired of London, you're tired of life, and it's a quote that anyone who's ever visited the U.K. capital would surely agree with. For newcomers to the city, the question isn’t so much ‘What to do in London’ as it’s what not to do.
