The Chocolate and Macaroons Masterclass at La Cucina Caldesi is a delicious class for those with a sweet tooth. Develop a new culinary skill, create scrumptious treats and take home plenty of confections to share.
The school’s patisserie expert, Stefano Borella, has worked in the likes of the Savoy and Mayfair Hotel. He’ll introduce you to the ingredients and techniques you’ll be using, before you get hands-on, creating a wonderful selection of colourful macaroons with creamy filling. During your four-hour class, you’ll also enjoy a chocolate tasting and prepare eight mouth-watering truffles. A light lunch will be provided, along with plenty of tips and tricks to recreate the chocolate magic at home.

I learnt more than I expected on this course. Not just the macaroons, but also Swiss meringue and buttercream, home made lemon curd, raspberry mouse, tempering chocolate and making truffles. We weren’t just watching but taking part. We were also treated to lovely home made lunch by the chef who was teaching us, who also sent all the recipes to us afterwards. A great day out where you will learn everything you expect and more.

What happens on the day?
When you arrive at La Cucina Caldesi cookery school you will be warmly welcomed and can relax with your fellow students and enjoy tea and coffee along with some homemade biscotti before your masterclass begins. Your teacher Stefano Borella will introduce the ingredients and techniques that will be used during the day before you get cooking.
You will make delicious chocolate truffles and flavoured macaroons, plus enjoy a light lunch. This masterclass is suitable for all levels looking to learn something new. You will get to taste your creations as well as take home some delicious treats to impress your friends or family.
