Visit to Windsor Castle and Afternoon Tea for Two
Overview
Explore the world's largest inhabitated castle together with a visit to Windsor Castle. An iconic part of British Royal Heritage with over 900 years of history, the home of HM The Queen is one of the country's most significant landmarks. The two of you can explore it at your leisure, including the magnificently furnished State Apartments, boasting fine art by Rembrandt, Rubens, Canaletto and Gainsborough.
Discover the tombs of St George’s Chapel, one of the finest works of Gothic architecture in England, where Henry VIII and Charles I are at rest, and learn of the fire that nearly destroyed the castle in 1992. After your tour, the two of you can continue your indulgence of all things quintessentially British with a delightful afternoon tea at The Castle Hotel, complete with finger sandwiches, an array of cakes, homemade scones and freshly brewed tea or coffee. History, stunning architecture and delicious treats make this an outing to remember.

Windsor Castle is open Thursday to Monday, with admissions every 30 minutes: First entry timeslot 10.00, Last entry timeslot 15.30.. Restrictions to availability including 27 December to 1 January (inclusive) will apply.
State Apartments may be closed for special occasions. When the State Apartments are closed, the voucher will not be valid. From November, work to enlarge and reconfigure the Windsor Castle Admissions Centre will begin. The works are being carefully phased, and the Admissions Centre will remain fully operational throughout.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.

A perfect day out!
We had a lovely day - we didn't have to join the massive queue at the castle and enjoyed exploring it on a lovely sunny day. The route around the state rooms had changed whilst building work was undergoing but we fortunately were able to upgrade to an annual pass for free to return! The afternoon tea was delicious, even for me as a fussy eater! And was in calm, peaceful surroundings with great service. Would definitely recommend!

Great day out
A really nice day out with family. We went on a Saturday and it was really busy, long queues down the hill - we were relieved to find out we got to skip those queues and go straight into the entrance to queue briefly at the tills to exchange our voucher for tickets. The Castle Hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the Castle. The afternoon tea was lovely, they had reserved a nice window table for us. The afternoon tea is very big, we had to take the cake layer home in a goodie bag.

Windsor Castle & Afternoon Tea
Perfect day and tour around Windsor Castle. So much to see and take in. Look forward to coming again and doing the Dolls House which was closed that day for refurbishment. Having a guided tour for first hour was so worth it for inside information. Held Every hour during opening times. Castle Hotel for Tea was very nearby and ended a great experience.

Windsor Castle/Afternoon Tea.
Really enjoyed the day overall. The voucher system was easy to use and worked easily. The Castle was quite something with wonderful art works and history. Afternoon tea the Castle Hotel was exceptional, probably the best I've had. I would recommend this experience day to anyone.

Visit to Windsor Castle and Afternoon Tea for Two
We arrived in time to see the changing of the guards which was interesting and then visited the various places of interest. After a few hours we then went down to the hotel for afternoon tea. This was most welcome after sightseeing and the service and tea we received were excellent.

A really enjoyable day. So much to see at Windsor Castle - we did not realise how many state rooms there are. Well worth the visit. An enjoyable afternoon cream tea at the Castle Hotel. Certainly the delicious scones and cakes exceeded our expectations. The staff there were very pleasant and attentive and made us welcome.

The only blip was the weather! Windsor Castle was just great, staff really helpful and informative. At the hotel the table was laid ready for us, great service, too many cakes and scones so they were beautifully fashioned into little bags to take home.

Fabulous day. We previously had a map of Windsor and Eaton, so we were able to plan and locate a car park local to the castle. Super weather and enjoyed the audio which took us through the grounds and Windsor Castle. Extremely interesting and beautifully presented. We marvelled at the wood work and fantastic collections. a super tea at the castle hotel where we relaxed and freshened up. The hotel was very nice but the furnishings were a little shabby.

Visit to Windsor Castle and Afternoon Tea for Two
We had a lovely day. The only slight fault was the wait for an afternoon tea. We had pre-booked for 2:30 and arrived on time. Although we were brought a pot of tea fairly promptly, the food had not arrived for 45 minutes. However it was very tasty and enjoyable.

Good not great
I was bought the experience as a gift and was really looking forward to it. I checked the night before and everything was confirmed as open, yet on the day Mary’s dolls house was closed. The castle itself though was stunning - especially the state rooms showing the Meghan & Harry exhibition. The the afternoon tea was disappointing. A couple of sandwiches, an over cooked scone and a couple of cakes left us feeling a bit flat. I did enjoy my day overall but I wouldn’t recommend the experience.

Worth going
Windsor and Windsor castle is lovely a few hills but not impossible to cope with. The only place I was disappointed with was the afternoon tea, the selection was not the best I've had. So much chocolate cake and dressing made it very boring.
