Challenge a friend and strap yourselves in for a truly unique and exhilarating experience on Velocity 2 at Zip World.
Kitted out with all the necessary gear, your adventure begins with the ''Little Zip'' wire. This shorter zip wire provides you both with a taste of what's to come. Transported in style in red army trucks up the mountain, you'll wait together in an undercover area, before the unforgettable ride on the main Velocity 2 line begins.
Once strapped in, you’ll both be sent on the world’s fastest and the UK’s longest zip line, flying across the quarry lake to the bottom. Reaching speeds of up to and above 100mph, soak up breath-taking views of Penrhyn quarry and North Wales. With four parallel lines, it’s an ideal experience to be shared with a loved one.

“Felt like flying!!!”
This was such an crazy and incredible experience, I would say this is the closest thing to flying you can get 🤩 I was really scared beforehand but afterwards I wanted to go again!

What happens on the day?
Arriving 30 minutes before your booking, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the staff who’ll get you checked in. Before your adventure can begin, you’ll receive a detailed safety briefing and get kitted out for the adventure in harnesses and helmets. You’ll then walk to the ''Little Zip'' line, which is a shorter zip line that serves as an introduction before the main Velocity 2 line. After the ''Little Zip'' line, you’ll be transported in red army trucks up the mountain. From here, there’s an undercover waiting area (heated in winter). Once you’re strapped in, you’ll be sent flying across the quarry lake to the bottom. Please allow at least two hours for the full experience.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 10
- Please note that one participating adult must accompany children aged 17 and younger
- Minimum height: 3ft 11in
- Maximum height: 6ft 8in
- Minimum weight: 4stone 10lbs
- Maximum weight: 18stone 12lbs (this can be lower in extreme weather conditions)
- Medical conditions such as heart problems, claustrophobia or epilepsy may increase your chance of having an accident - please check with the supplier prior to booking to see if you are suitable for this experience
- Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for those suffering with high blood pressure or for pregnant women
- Spectators can watch from the adventure terminal or Blondin Restaurant
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please ensure that this is booked and used before the expiry date shown.
This experience is available seven days a week between March and September. Availability during the winter and off-peak periods is reduced. Excluded dates may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
You are required to arrive 30 minutes before your booked time slot. Please allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
