In the heart of things
We booked an overnight stay at the Mercure Hotel in Princess Street Edinburgh. Every aspect involved fell into place from the great service received to the central location of the venue. Positioned on Princess Street the venue is ideally positioned for the old town, new town or the Xmas market. At the hotel the staff could not have been more professional or helpful. All in all a very good experience and we would recommend to others.

Great hotel and location
The break was an anniversary present for my wife and we both thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We arrived to late for the evening meal due to having met friends for drinks. The hotel provided a pizza through room service and never charged us. Will definitely use the hotel again look forward to our next Virgin experience.

Overnight in Edinburgh
The Mercure Hotel in Edinburgh is in the best location in Edinburgh.Right in the middle of Princes Street. We were upgraded to the 7th floor which had a balcony looking over Princess Street,Scotts Monument & the castle. Evening meal was amazing. The restuarant was on the first floor looking onto Princes Street. Would definetely recommend this deal/hotel to everyone. Thank you x

Overnight stay
Room was on the small side and a little dated, but had lovely views of the city. Dinner was nice but nothing to rave about. Breakfast was enjoyable.

Room was fine, restaurant disappointing.
Girl at checkout was very helpful and friendly. Comfortable bed, good amenities but the room was a bit old and tired. No plugs next to the bed. Meal in restaurant was disappointing. One great waitress, but a group of three or four of them were just chatting away at the counter. Fish and chips was not seasoned at all. Several people around us were making complains about food not being cooked properly or n arriving at the same time.

One night in Edinburgh
Was a great location but very misleading. We had a £22 allowance each with out voucher. We were. It that hungry so ordered a pizza each and a glass of wine. In total we had used £43.50 of our £44 allowance when we asked for the bill, just checking we had totted it up right we were presented with an £18 bill for the wine. This wasn’t included apparently, we were not made aware and tainted the whole evening he
