The exceptional Georgian Manor house was the former home of the poet Percy Shelley and many period features remain today. Take a walk through the 16 acres of gorgeous landscaped gardens and it’s easy to imagine how Shelley was inspired by the natural beauty of the area. Conveniently located close to Newbury town centre and its famous race course, you will stay in a bright and airy twin or double room complete with flat-screen TV, complementary Wi-Fi and tea and coffee making facilities.

Enjoy the magnificent views of the Kennet Valley, wander along the nearby Kennet and Avon Canal or pass the time with a game of tennis on the hotel’s outdoor courts. Breakfast is included in this one night break and you’ll leave feeling revitalized and maybe even inspired to write some poetry!

What happens on the day?

When you arrive at the Mercure Newbury Elcot Park Hotel, check in between 14.00 and 15.00 and be directed to your room. Your twin or double room will be complete with a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi. Soak up the period features of this Georgian Manor house and stroll through the landscaped gardens.

After a great night’s sleep you will be served breakfast before check out between 10.00 and 11.00. Then you can explore Newbury or discover the famous racecourse just a stone’s throw away.

Availability

Your voucher is available 7 days a week. Date exclusions such as special or major events will apply.
Check in will be between 14.00 and 15.00 on the day of arrival and check out will be between 10.00 and 11.00 on the morning of departure.

We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date. All bookings are subject to availability and some weekends may be subject to a minimum stay.

Please note - Saturdays can be particularly busy and at peak times may require a minimum 12 weeks lead booking time.

Check-in will be from 14.00 to 15.00 on the day of arrival and check out will be between 10.00 and 11.00 on the morning of departure.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
