Get into the mindset of a real life ‘zombie’ as you step onto the other side of the curtain to scare some unsuspecting visitors at the London Tombs, and become a Zombie for a Day at The London Tombs experience.
You’ll be made up as one of the undead and schooled in the art of scaring people, before putting your newfound spooking skills to work out on the general public.
As it’s a full day experience you’ll be treated to lunch partway through at the nearby Mudlark, ready to serve two courses of pub grub to any zombies that shamble through their doors. So you never forget what you looked like on the day, you’ll also get to take home a souvenir photograph as well as a T-shirt.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at the London Tombs for 10.00 you’ll be met by a member of staff before being taken behind the scenes for a look at what goes into scaring the general public in live shows. You’ll be given a make-up tutorial to make you look suitably gruesome and gory, as well as dressed out in proper zombie clothing, before joining in a live show.
Lunch is at 13.00 at the Mudlark, where you’ll get to choose two courses from a set menu to fill you up before the rest of your day of scaring.
At the end of the experience you’ll take home a souvenir photo and t-shirt.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18
- The experience is not suitable for pregnant women and wheelchair users
- Friends and family are welcome but have to pay full price on the door for entry
- Guests can leave at any time but will not be able to be re-admitted should they do so
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Available seven days a week during Term Time only. Other date restrictions may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 7 hours for the full experience which starts at 10.00 and finishes at 17.00.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
