Aptly named after the Greek god of winemaking, Dionysius is a showcase and celebration of all things wine, cherry-picking only the finest from the top vineyards and producers around the globe. With this Vintage Wine Tasting for Two, you and a lucky guest will get to try some.
You’ll taste a selection of exquisite vintage wines, with each bottle as rich in story as it is flavour. Showcasing a variety of grape types as well as vintages, the bottles will be chosen directly from the cellar on the night. With an emphasis on traditional Italian regions, you may find yourself drinking down the likes of Barolo, Barbaresco or Chianti – each one a treat.

What happens on the day?
On arrival you’ll be welcomed by your knowledgeable hosts before your session gets underway.
You’ll be able to enjoy a selection of five vintage wines that could be dating from the 1950s through to the 1980s upon availability. Wines are previously selected from the cellars. Some of the wines tasted are unique or very low in stock so every tasting is unique.

Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date.
This experience is available on Thursday and Friday 18.00 to 22.00, Saturday and Sunday at 12.00 to 22.00, subject to availability.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Great Afternoon Out
My husband and I really enjoyed the wine and cheese tasting in Kensington. The staff were very helpful and informative, the wines were very nice, and we actually learned something!!

Excellent present
The vintage wine tasting for two in London was excellent. A chance to learn about how to appreciate wine, led by a well informed wine expert, with superb wines. An excellent present!

Old vintage
Had a superb evening. Lovely tasting of expensive wines paired with different cheeses and chocolate. Had the salmon platter as an extra and it tasted excellent.

Informative but not brilliant
Our vintage wine tasting was quite good when informing you how to look at and taste wine but everything else was a bit below par. We tried small samples of 1 white, 3 red & a sparkling wine, all but one were 2016 wines with the other wine a 2014. I wouldn't exactly consider those to be "vintage". The presenter was very nice and friendly, but it all seemed a bit haphazard. I don't consider the experience to be worth the price paid. Not sorry that we went, but I wouldn't rush back.

Informative
We attended the Vintage wine tasting at the Norfolk Plaza Hotel in Paddington. The staff were friendly and informative. The wine however, even though very nice, could not be described as vintage.

Room for improvement
Wines were varied but would have liked a clean glass for each wine. Water should have been served in glasses between wines. Started late, and felt the information delivered was very rushed. We did learn some new facts but I would have liked a handout with at least the wines listed so I could make notes. Seating arrangements were very tight, not as comfortable as it should have been.

Don't bother
If you booked this experience expecting vintage wines you are in for a surprise. Not one of the wines at our experience could be described as vintage most were very young wines one from 2017 vintage. The "expert" read the details of the wines from the bottles, no homework completed there.

Awful
Prolonged and awful so called tasting! 5 sub par wines poured by disinterested people and a so called expert that presented incorrect facts and got even the fundamentals of wine wrong! Simply awful. I could not be more disappointed at this waste of money. Such a Shame Virgin.

Big disappointment
We were really excited to go on this experience, a Christmas present from our son. Held in a very basic hotel, in a conference style basic room, with little atmosphere. The guy running it was slow pondering, not much personality. He had to use his notes a lot. He hadn't prepared the wine so we had to wait over 30 minutes before we could even try the first wine. He didn't really know about pairing either! One of the wines was corked and undrinkable! Basically disappointing event
