“Great time in this historic city”
The hotel was great and staff very friendly and helpful.the rooms were l of a good size and clean. The breakfast was good and a nice selection to choose from though the room was quiet small for the number of guests and they ran out of plates and dishes! All together a nice relaxing hotel and a great city to visit.

“Thoroughly enjoyable weekend”
Stayed at abbots Barton for two nights and enjoyed every aspect. Ideal location to get into town by foot to see the wonderful sights. Hotel clean and comfortable and staff very helpful. Arrived early and room was ready. Hotel had a wedding on Saturday but was not disturbed in the slightest. Would definitely go again and have recommended it to my son
“Disappointed...”
Chose a weekend away as my wife has not been well lately and we have both had a pretty rough year. Unfortunately this hotel is very outdated. The walls between rooms have no sound proofing. We had an elderly couple in the room next to us who would start talking in the early hours (2am then 4am)... tv on during the night and we could hear every word clearly. Not their fault but we did make the hotel aware of the lack of sound proofing. Hotel did smell of the restaurant even on the 3rd floor..
