A really great two day break
We had a really comfortable stay at Esseborne Manor. The food (especially the tasting menu) was excellent. Our bedroom was very spacious and we found the staff to be very helpful and courteous

A welcome 2 days break.
All the members of staff we encountered were polite, friendly and helpful which allowed us to immediately feel comfortable and relaxed. The deluxe bedroom (Kensington) was clean, large, well laid out with a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom had the added bonus of a large sunken spa bath. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide range of choices but dinners comprised a short menu and, sad to report, we felt that the seven course tasting menu was too expensive and not good value for money.

Pleasant 2 nights
This was a 2 night gift experience treat from our son which included a 7 course tasting menu. The meal was absolutely amazing consisting of a wide range of courses. Our de-luxe room was very roomy and spotlessly clean. We booked a meal at the hotel for the following night and although that was very tasty and well presented, we felt the menu choices were a bit limited. We felt 2 nights there was quite adequate but would recommend visiting Combe Gibbet for its views.

Great Food
The hotel was lovely but the seven course tasting menu was excellent. we chose to have the wine that went with each course and that was great value for money. this was a present from my daughter but I would go again and pay myself.

Tired hotel, lovely food
Our stay here was ok- but the hotel is very tired. The whole place needs an enormous amount of money spent on it. However, the food is excellent and reasonably priced.

Awful
Booked 2 night stay in a De-Luxe room with 7 course tasting menu included. Room was the worst I have stayed in....dirty, old fashioned and just simply horrible. Food in restaurant has received good reviews and this was something that influenced our booking as my wife and I are foodies. At best the food was average/ok certainly not fine dining and some of the flavour combinations were just not right. After one night we checked out and left. Avoid....complete waste of money.
