Since opening in 2003 Benares has gone from strength to strength, incorporating dishes from all parts of India, the menu at Benares includes the likes of Samosa Tartlet Chaat, Mint, Tamarind and Ginger, South Indian Khichdi, Stir Fry Rainbow Kale and Pumpkin Halwa Foam, Maple and Walnut Ice-Cream. Three courses are yours to enjoy, blending traditional and modern culinary techniques seamlessly.
There’s plenty to satisfy every palate, and your three courses will be paired with a duo of wines to match the flavours perfectly. There’s no better way to enjoy the best of Indian cuisine!

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Benares in Mayfair you’ll be greeted by a member of staff before being shown up to the first floor to take your seats in the warm and tranquil dining room. You’ll be given your set menus to make your choices from, and the waiting staff will be happy to recommend any choices to you if you’re unsure of what to have.
Along with your tasty dishes you’ll be served a duo of wines each, specially selected to match whatever you might have chosen from the menu.

Availability
This experience is available Monday to Saturday from 12.00 to 14.30 and 17.30 to 18.30 January to November. Date restrictions will include special occasion dates and bank holidays (e.g. Valentines, Mother’s Day etc) and all of December.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Perfect Lunch
Perfect Lunch at Benares. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable particularly as one of our party was pregnant, pointing out anything not suitable and providing excellent non acholic cocktails for her as part of the package. The food was superb and elevates Indian cuisine to another level - cannot fault any part of this experience and all agreed to return again.

Wonderful anniversary meal
We were treated like VIP’s from the moment we arrived until we left. The attention to deal from all the staff, from the waiters, the sommelier, and the very talented chefs was esquisite. We will definitely be back for another superb dining experience.

Fabulous Indian meal
This was a birthday gift from my work colleagues and although I had to wait a while it was worth it. The food was lovely the wine pairing excellent and the service was exemplary. Definitely recommend this place.

Delicious meal
The food was tasty and innovative. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the black lentils and the chicken main course was delicious. The restaurant was clean, well laid out and had a relaxed atmosphere.

Benares - fabulous meal
We booked a lunchtime for our 3 course set menu with wine pairings at Benares. The staff were lovely, very friendly and relaxed. The service was excellent and the wine sommelier came to the table and talked through each wine he had selected. We added some extra sides to our meal which complimented the courses selected. Overall the experience was great, food beautiful and atmosphere spot on. Highly recommend this to anyone

Great Virgin Experience
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. From the minute you walk in the door, Benares is simply special. The food choice is very interesting and the cooking is exceptional. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and offered wine choices that were very enjoyable and complemented our meal The atmosphere in Benares is excellent mainly due to the friendly, well trained staff.
