Departing from Loughborough Central, your steam locomotive will take you on a leisurely journey through Charnwood’s breath-taking countryside, with a pause on Swithland viaduct to admire the views over the reservoir to the forest.
During your journey, you’ll be served up a delicious two-course meal, with the likes of chicken and mushroom pie and broccoli and stilton pasta bake mains on the menu, followed by cheesecake or chocolate and raspberry tears. Finish with coffee served with chocolate mints, before sitting back and enjoying each other's company as the idyllic views roll by.

What happens on the day?
Your train journey departs from Loughborough Central at 13.00, so give yourselves plenty of time. Once on board, take your seats and settle in for a truly idyllic journey. Your first-class steam locomotive will take you through the picturesque Charnwood countryside, with a stop on Swithland viaduct to take in the stunning views over the reservoir.
Enjoy a two-course meal from a set menu, finishing with a coffee each and chocolate mints. Your train will return at approximately 14.45. You’ll also enjoy optional unlimited all day travel.

- Minimum age: 5 (under 16s must be accompanied by a full paying adult)
- Unfortunately wheelchairs cannot be accommodated in the dining carriage

Availability
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the issue date and cannot be extended.
The experience runs May to September. New dates will be released shortly.
We recommend you book at least twelve weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow up to 3 hours for your dining experience and you have the opportunity for unlimited travel prior to or after your experience.
Please also note that due to current COVID restrictions, the all-day travel element of this experience is suspended until safety measures are relaxed.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
