Overview
Visit the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the UK’s tallest sculpture and part of the lasting legacy of the 2012 Olympic Games. Designed by artist Anish Kapoor, the ArcelorMittal is 114.5m tall and towers over Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, its red scaffolding swirls making it a striking addition to the landscape.
You’ll travel to the very top of the structure to get a hawk’s eye view of the park below and out over the rest of London. From here you’ll be able to pick out The Shard, The Gherkin, Big Ben, Canary Wharf, and the O2 arena. Enjoy the interactive displays and stand in front of the distinctive concave mirrors that will flip your perspective and turn the horizon on its head. If you think you’ve got the stamina, descend to the ground via the 455 steps.
Back on the ground, you can make your way over to the Last Drop opposite the ArcelorMitta Orbit for a hot drink and cake.

orbit view with tea and cake
View was good, staff helpful on booking in. Cafe staff for the tea and cake not good, slow. 4 standing around in the end I asked one to make our drinks whilst girl went to find cake for us. Cake seemed very cold like it was frozen. As it was a match day they didn't have cakes out (we didn't know it was a match day). Experience didn't take long to do once you've seen view.
