Set your hearts racing with a Thames Rockets speed boat ride, followed by a three course meal with wine at Brasserie Blanc for Two.

A fast-paced and unique way to experience the capital, you’ll skim across the surface of the River Thames aboard a purpose-built Rigid Inflatable Boat, taking in the sights, sounds and stories all whilst enjoying the ride. This isn’t a gentle meander across the Thames– the speedboat is capable of 30 knots, and you’ll feel the buzz in this adrenaline-packed sightseeing tour.

You’ll also enjoy three courses of authentic French fare from a set menu full of fresh, seasonal ingredients at Brasserie Blanc. Top things off with a glass of wine each to give it that ‘special occasion’ feel.

What happens on the day?

Ahead of the boat ride, the two of you will be greeted by a member of staff, receive a quick briefing and be handed any safety equipment you require. With an experienced tour guide on board, you’ll buzz over the water with speed and style whilst viewing the most popular sights of London. Don’t forget your camera as you find yourself under the amazing Thames Bridges and exploring parts of the river that are inaccessible to other boats.

You’ll make your booking in advance for either lunch or dinner at one of four London-based Brasserie Blanc restaurants. On arrival you’ll be warmly welcomed and shown to your table. Brasserie Blanc have hand-selected a wonderful set menu for each of their Virgin Experience Days guests to dine from. Dishes can be ordered on arrival and are based on the latest seasonal offerings. Take your time making your selection of three courses from the set menu that features at least three choices for each course, and enjoy a 125ml glass of house wine, half a pint of lager, or soft drink as you dine.

Participant guidelines

Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the Thames Rockets Speed Boat Ride
Under 16s must be accompanied by a full paying adult within Brasserie Blanc
Under 18s will be served a soft drink as part of their meal
If you have an existing medical condition which may be affected by this experience then you must consult your doctor before taking part. Boats can encounter unpredictable movement that can aggravate existing medical conditions
Without exception, expectant mothers are not permitted on board at any stage of their pregnancy

Availability

Thames Rocket Speed Boat

Experiences run seven days a week March to October and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday during winter.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

The experience lasts approximately 50 minutes on the water, however you should allow up to 1 hour 30 minutes for the whole experience.

Three Course Meal at Brasserie Blanc

The meal can be booked seven days a week (except Threadneedle Street and Chancery Lane which are only available Monday to Friday) January to November. Your voucher is not valid for booking in December. Date restrictions may apply.

Saturday (12.00 to 23.00)
Sunday (12.00 to 21.00)

Please note: at Threadneedle Street and Chancery Lane, restaurant bookings can only be made from 14.30 to close.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please remember to allow time between bookings for travel to each location.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
