About this experience
This speed enhanced tour of the River Thames allows you to share something different. You’ll take a journey through the city at up to 30knots as the Thames is beaten up by the 880hp of engine on your RIB. This energetic tour zooms through the river amidst one of the greatest open air history museums in the world.
Your guides won’t quit with the intelligent banter and you’ll be taken past London Bridge, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, the O2 and on through the Thames Barrier. This tour differs to the run of the mill lot as the two of you may just get to experience, if the guides are up to showing off on the day, a few exciting boat manoeuvres as the Thames widens further up the river.

What happens on the day?
The two of you should arrive 15 minutes before your departure time so you can both be supplied with the necessary wet weather equipment and assisted into your life jackets before boarding the vessel. You will be given a safety briefing from the guide and then on the chimes of Big Ben the RIB will depart.
This journey will take you along several famous London’s landmarks and its spectacular bridges. The RIB’s award winning humorous conductors will keep the mood buzzing with their high-brow jokes and are on hand to ensure you have the best sightseeing experience ever. After 80 minutes of excitement you will return to Millennium Pier.

- Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
- If you have an existing medical condition which may be affected by this experience then you must consult your doctor before taking part. Boats can encounter unpredictable movement that can aggravate existing medical conditions
- Without exception, expectant mothers are not permitted on board at any stage of their pregnancy
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
Voyages run most weekends and during peak seasons will also run on a Friday afternoon.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
The voyage lasts approximately 80 minutes, however you should allow 1 hour 50 minutes for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

“The greatest night of my life”
The Thames Barrier Rocket speed boart trip was excellent, Nick steered us along the river with speed and plenty of dips to the side, whilst Joey gave a great narrative and history to the tour along the slower parts of the ride. We would definatley conside rit again. Whilst the ride was great, the best part of the evening followed when my partner proposed to me on the banks of the Thames after departing the board (I said yes). The ride became a great part of a very memorable evening in London.
