Discover the art of distillation with this Gin School, Tastings and Behind the Scenes Distillery Tour for Two at Gorilla Spirits.
Your day of discovery will see you take a deep dive into Britain’s most notorious spirit with the experts. G&Ts in hand (and topped up throughout), you’ll design your own bespoke gin, using botanicals drawn from Gorilla Spirits’ extensive library. You’ll operate a mini copper pot still to distil your elixir; you’ll be in full control throughout, testing, proofing and distilling a full bottle to take home together. You’ll even make enough to enjoy a final G&T at the bar.
As part of your experience, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes distillery tour, hear the story of Gorilla Spirits, and taste some of their award-winning creations.

“An epic day out ”
Had a great time at Grizedale Forest GoApe. There is a good mix of activities in the treetop challenge including some epic zip wires. Definitely was pushed out of my comfort zone but always felt safe. The kids in our group loved it. There can be a bit of waiting around between the platforms. Our experience lasted well over three hours from start to finish so allow plenty of time. A very good value experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Gorilla Spirits, you’ll be welcomed with a large G&T, which you’ll enjoy as you’re given the lowdown on what to expect. You’ll each be provided with an information pack and some visual tools, including a unique Botanical Reference Guide, which will help you to design your gin.
Once you’ve worked together to create your design, you’ll take charge of a mini copper pot still to distil your gin. Experts will be on hand throughout, but the process is yours to enjoy, with as little or as much help as you’d like. The two of you will take home your finished bottle of your own bespoke gin to share.
As part of your experience you’ll receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery, hear about Gorilla Spirits’ story and taste some of their award-winning delights.

The experience is available at 14.30 on Fridays and Saturdays. Exclusions will apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
