Overview
Embark on an adventure with a fellow gin lover to visit the Sipsmith Gin Distillery for a tour and tasting. With a tipple in hand, you’ll head behind the scenes of the first copper pot distillery in almost 200 years, discovering gin’s chequered past and learning about Sipsmith’s integral role in the recent ‘Ginaissance’.
You will be introduced to the beautiful copper pot stills, Prudence, Verity and Constance, and find out how the award-winning gins are carefully hand-crafted, whilst receiving a complimentary tutored tasting of them too.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Sipsmith’s Gin Distillery, you’ll be welcomed with a ginny tipple to sip and enjoy whilst being taken through gin’s chequered past and learning how Sipsmith came to be.
You will then be introduced to the beautiful copper stills, Prudence, Verity and Constance and learn how these award-winning gins are hand-crafted whilst enjoying a tutored tasting of them too.
Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18 (you may be asked to provide ID)
- Full disabled access throughout the distillery and toilets
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The tour is available on selected Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 1 hour 30 minutes for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Excellent
Really good evening, everyone made us feel really welcome. Nick was a great host and I loved all of the historical context. Sipsmith gin is an all time favourite, good to taste new recipes.

Such a fun experience

Great experience
A really enjoyable experience I never knew their was so much to learn about Gin!! The lady who was guiding us through the history made it fun and very interesting. Would definitely recommend especially if you love Gin. You got to taste so gorgeous flavour Gins just make sure you don’t drive!

Gin tour and tasting - what’s not to like?!
History of Sipsmith, gin and the distilling industry followed by tasting of 4 different gins. You also leave with a nice little box of gin and the classic swans neck stirrer. All in all a pleasant way to spend a cold Monday evening in January.

This was a really interesting couple of hours! Great gin samples to taste, awesome history about the company and the history of gin and our group even got to meet & hear from the master distiller, who was so knowledgeable!

Fantastic evening
Thoroughly enjoyed the Sipsmith Gin Distillery Tour and Tasting. It was my first distillery tour. The evening started with a warming gin drink with orange and gingerbread in a perfect Christmas setting with the decorations and Christmas music playing, All tastings were a good double measure and it was fantastic to taste gins that I had never tried. The distillery (although small) was amazing and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Would thoroughly recommend to any Gin fan.

Excellent way to spend a couple of hours
Did the Sipsmith tour on a cold wet December evening - and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not really a tour as the distillery is very small, but more a tasting and talk about the history of gin and the Sipsmiths brand. Nevertheless the talk was amusing and informative and the gin a revelation. I'm not a big gin drinker and would never normally drink neat gin but my eyes were opened with various Sipsmith flavoured gins. Very enjoyable.

No thanks to Virgin Experince Days...
5 our of 5. The tour was good. They gave us gin and a nice little gift at the end. However, I didn't realise that there was so little to gin distilling. The distillery site is so small that we didn't actually move during the tour. We stood in the same place (next to the bar), but it was entertaining and like I already said, they gave us gin! Unlike Virgin the distillery allowed us to use our voucher after the end date. Virgin were terrible about this and want you to pay extra!!! Thieves.

Sensational
I bought the gift for my partner as we are both newcomers to the world of gin. The whole tasting experience was superb - the gentleman from sipsmith (who did the presentation) was uplifting, passionate and so knowledgeable. We came away not only knowing the heritage of gin, but how sipsmith has been a huge part of the renaissance. Cannot recommend it enough. So, so good. Well done team sipsmith!

Really fun day, and interesting too!
The gin tour was really fascinating, the guide was really enthusiastic and passionate which was great!! Also had a lovely gin and tonic on arrival, and got to taste some of the moats unusual of their gin flavours. I’ll definitely be buying some. All in a really fun day out.

Gin Tasting with a difference!
Tucked away in the residential streets of Chiswick we spent a delightful evening with the team at Sipsmith's learning all about the history of Sipsmith London Dry Gin, sipping their delightful traditional London Dry and some delicious flavoured Gins, Lemon Drizzle, Strawberries & Cream and Sloe. A perfect birthday present that was both educational and alcoholic! Thanks to everyone that made it happen

Informative and funny tour full of gin
Our guide was fabulous - full of information and funny too. It meant that the hour and some went super quick. We got to try 4 types of gin and were welcomed by a wonderful g&t. A fabulous tour that I would highly recommend to any gin lovers.

Fun & Informative
The talk about Sipsmith’s history, given by Adam, was fun and informative. He was enthusiastic and entertaining. Seeing the stills and learning more about the process was great, as were the gins that we tasted. The gift received as we left was a nice touch.

Interesting and refreshing!
Not sure you can call it at tour but it is such a small distillery it’s not their fault ! Plenty of gin to sample, fascinating talk about the history of gin and Sipsmith, with excellent guide hosting. Lovely atmosphere from the staff. No hard sell, a great evening ! Loved it

Decent tour and good amount of gin
Approx. 6/7 shots of gin tasted over the course of the evening, although one of their ‘experimental’ gins. Interesting talk around the history of Sipsmith, gin and how it’s made.

"Gintastic Experience"
Visiting Sipsmith gin distillery was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived and greeted by Jessica and Marcus we were made to feel very welcome. Marcus was very informative and delved into the full history and origins of Sipsmith gin distillery founders. Sampling the many different gins was exquisite and extremely delicious. I would certainly recommend this experience to family and friends. Gin is such a refreshing and tasty drink, I will always remember this experience.

Ok way to spend an hour and a half
A pleasant enough way to spend an hour and a half. On arrival you are greeted by two nice girls from the Sipsmith Marketing team and given a hot gin and gingerbread drink , not my thing but some liked it . One of the young ladies then educated us on the history of Gin , the Sipsmith founders and the gin making process , during this time you sip two other Gins. The whole event and process takes place in the remarkably small distillery, on leaving you are given a gift bag with a miniature.

London Dry Gin in London
Tim our presenter and Sipsmith’s Distiller gave us a great history of London Dry Gin in general and Sipsmith’s in particular. A virtuoso one man performance aided by Ash. Generous sipping portions gave us a wide experience of the diversities of the Sipsmith gins. We enjoyed the story of Sipsmith’s and the evolution of the stills from Prudence through Constance and Verity not forgetting little Cygnet the key to future experimentation.

Brilliant host
A lovely well hosted evening. Was fascinating to hear all about the history of gin and the history of sipsmith. It helped create a nice feeling towards the brand for the future. The event was made by the knowledgeable and humorous host. Plenty of tasters and a lovely gift set. Value for money could have been a little more modest though.

Very informative and tipsy evening
We were welcomed with a hot G&T, which was very welcome on a cold wintery evening. Our host then gave a very informative history of gin and the process of making gin at Sipsmith. This was interspersed with several tastings from the Sipsmith range (you might not enjoy this as much if you're not a fan of drinking gin neat!). You then got given a gift bag with a small bottle and a measuring cup inside. All in all, 90 minutes well spent!

not quite as a tour I was expecting
I was expecting a tour around the place, but it turned out the place was pretty small and we ended up listening to a full on talk about the history of gin and the distillery before we went on tasting 4 different types of gin. My husband and I enjoyed the tasting, but I wouldn't call it a tour when there was no walking around involved.
