Get ready for an exhilarating experience in the driverās seat of a Caterham 7 for a course of drifting, sliding and skidding with this Silverstone Caterham Drift Experience.
Youāll put your drifting skills to the test in one of Silverstoneās wide open space. A professional race driver will be on hand the first time your car heads out on the course, demonstrating all of the skills youāll need behind the wheel. Across three sessions youāll pick up driving and drifting skills, put them into practice and then pit them against challengers, proving your skills under the watchful eyes of Silverstoneās experts.
Youāll have plenty of time to get a feel for the car, and trust us ā youāre going to need it! An unforgettable day out for any motorhead.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Silverstone youāll be greeted by staff before making your way to the Caterham drifting area. Youāll be given a full safety briefing before being shown a demonstration by a professional driver of what youāll be able to do by the time your experience is over.
Session one will be Drift Control Skills, as you get a feel for and learn to control the car, in Session two youāll take the course with more speed around the corners, and in session three youāll engage in a drift battle against some of the dayās participants.
At the end of the last session youāll be given a debrief and a driver assessment.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 18
- Minimum height: 5ft 2in
- Maximum height: 6ft 6in
- Maximum weight: 18 stone
- Participants need to have held a full manual driving licence for at least one year, kindly note your licence must be presented on the day
- Kindly note, if you are deemed under the influence of alcohol or drugs on the day you will not be able to participate in this experience
- Participants must be physically fit. Driving experiences are not suitable for those that are pregnant or suffer from epilepsy, high blood pressure or heart problems
- Spectators are welcome - Children must be supervised at all times
- No animals (other than pre-confirmed assistance dogs) are allowed on site
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
- The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover.
Some driving operators require customers to complete an Indemnity/Damage waiver form on the day of the experience. This may state that the driver will be liable for a fixed amount of costs should they damage the vehicle whilst driving. Most of these suppliers are able to provide Indemnity/Damage Waiver at a small additional fee (usually Ā£20) payable on site. The purchase of this is optional and is in addition to the Public Liability Insurance held by all venues. The full details of any indemnity or damage waiver will be provided by the activity operator. We are unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of these products.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours at the venue, the actual time spent in the cars depends on speed and individual ability.

There were 3 instructors for 8 people on the experience and 2 cars. The instruction was excellent. There were very sensible safety considerations in place due to Covid. All in all a very enjoyable experience, I would thoroughly recommend it and happily go again myself.
