Sheepdog Training Day
About this experience
Escape the flurry of modern day life and head to Yorkshire for a real back-to-basics training day with the talented Barbara Sykes. Barbara represented the country in the International Sheep Dog Trials; she is a farmer and dog trainer who runs fantastic classes on the edge of the scenic Yorkshire Moors.
Spend a day there, getting to know the friendly and impressive collie dogs that tend to the flocks of sheep. You’ll learn training techniques for your own dogs and gain impressive knowledge to add to your own list of skills. Working with a breed of dog that has the ability to communicate with its human partner is a unique experience you’ll never forget, and one that will leave you feeling uplifted before the day is through.

“A really enjoyable fun experience”
I loved the day, well planned from beginning to end. Learnt about different Collie personalities, how to use body language and commands, and then work with the dogs and sheep. The day ended walking a course with dog and sheep! Anyone who enjoys dogs would love this. It was a birthday gift and a great idea! Thanks to the trainer for a Fabulous day!

“Soooo interesting ”
Whoever said a dog is a dog have never had the pleasure of meeting a pack of Boarder Collies. What a pleasure it was. The adults are informative and the dogs meet your expectations and beyond. What characters they are. This organisation does so much good and they know their stuff. They teach you what a sheepdog can do in a fun and enjoyable way. A brilliant day out.
“Great relaxed day”
