Shakespeare in the City Walking Tour for Two
About this experience
Take a trip back in time to 16th century London life with this Shakespeare in the City Walking Tour for Two.
Delivered with verve and flair at every turn, your tour will visit the two locations of Shakespeare’s London homes, the site of the Globe’s long forgotten sister, the Blackfriars Theatre and a little-known monument created from one of Shakespeare’s most iconic speeches. You’ll see the spot where it’s believed he penned Othello, King Lear and Macbeth, as well as some of the churches known to him. As you explore, you’ll discover more about his troubled personal life, and hear some of his sublime speeches, delivered with aplomb by your expert guide – once a Shakespearean actor himself.
Combining scholarly expertise with thespian pizzazz, there’s no better way to explore the life of the Bard in the capital.

“Fascinating!”
Small group - just 4 of us with Declan the guide. Extremely informative. Saw some hidden bits of London that we would never have seen otherwise and am now better educated about Shakespeare as well. Would definitely recommend this walk and will look out for Declan's other offerings for future visits. Thank-you for a fascinating morning!

“Shakespeare Revealed”
A first class walk on Shakespeare and Shakespeare's London. Declan was knowledgeable, controversial, entertaining, engaging and a super guide. I'm a Londoner born and bred and on this tour I walked streets of London that I didn't know existed. Fascinating insights from Declan who has a book in gestation on Shakespeare. I 100% recommend this tour.
“An educational jaunt through the Bard’s London ”
Absolutely excellent tour with our guide, Declan. Exercise and education all in one. An ambulatory experience without compare.
