Want to test your skills aboard the future of two-wheeled transportation? With a Segway Blast for Two, you can get a taste of exactly what these super-fun electric steeds can do. Gloriously kitted out in your safety gear, you’ll be all set to roll. You’ll undertake a short training session to get to grips with the basics before taking on the twists and turns of the rally track!

With a mixture of instructor-led riding and free time, this is your chance to master the controls and wheel about in futuristic style. With a professional photographer on hand to capture the action, you’ll be welcome to purchase your favourite moments as a keepsake to remember your day. With this fun-filled 30 minute blast to get you started, we doubt it’ll be long before the two of you return for a full session!

What happens on the day?

On the chosen day of your Segway Blast, you will be asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to your booking to allow plenty of time to sign in with staff and to fill out your waiver. You’ll then be kitted up in your safety gear, briefed and given a short training session to get to grips with how your Segway manoeuvres.

Then you’ll be ready to test your skills on the Segway Rally track. With 14 locations to choose from, no two tracks are the same. There’ll be a professional photographer on hand to capture all the action. You’ll then be able to purchase your photos at the end of the experience for an additional fee if you wish.

Participant guidelines

Under 16s must be accompanied by a full paying adult
Minimum height: 134cm (4ft 5in)
Minimum weight: 45kg (7st 1lb)
Maximum weight: 117kg (18st 7lb)
You will not be able to participate if you are pregnant, or suffer from medical conditions such as epilepsy or heart disease
You will not be able to participate if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Spectators are welcome, however are prohibited on the track – they must stay in the training area
The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location

Availability

Please make a note of the expiry date on your voucher. Your experience will need to be booked and taken by this date.

The experience must be pre-booked and is available on selected weekdays throughout the year at 09.00 or 09.30. Date restrictions may apply.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

The session is 30 minutes but please arrive 30 minutes prior to your booking time - allow a maximum of 1 hour 30 minutes in total.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Had a great time ...daughter loved it!

Very pleasant service, swift on point training. Plenty of time to ask questions, get involved and have time for meandering around by self with the trainer in close proximity…all on international women's day too!!!

Soggy Segway Riding

Great time had at Alexandra Palace despite the rainy experience. Spent time getting to know the Segway on the tarmac area and some team games. The riding was good but I expected more time on the park.

Fun experience, excellent organisers!

It was a great day out, had fun. We went to the Windsor location and our tour guides Ben and Chris were really fun as well and loved the deal on the merchandise as we went for both the Thrill and the Blast. Only thing was, we felt the half hour experience was more worthwhile as even though we paid more for the 1hr, it came to around the same time as the 30mins experience because the groups were a lot larger. But otherwise the whole experience was excellent!

A true Blast

Great Day Out!

We were gifted a segway experience for a Christmas present and had such a lovely time! The staff were friendly and so patient with teaching us to use the Segway. They were there for help through the entire thing. The only thing I will add is that there aren't directions signs from Worthing and having parked in Holmbush Farm, it was a fairly long walk. Great day out and would definitely go again.

Great fun! Friendly people!

We did the Segway Blast at Bray Lake yesterday. It was great fun and the staff were really friendly. We would go again. The downside is that the booking and telephone support beforehand was awful. And why should you have to pay a substantial amount to extend your gift voucher. I'd do the Segway Blast again but book it in a different way.

Brilliant experience

This voucher was a gift from a friend and I would definitely recommend it. We chose Alexandra Palace which was a great venue. The only problem we had was finding the place itself, there are very few signs when you arrive at Alexandra Palace and we had to ask for directions. Overall a great day and we would happily go back.

Segway Blast

Lovely location and after much gloomy weather a brilliantly sunny, if cold, day. We were equipped with elbow and knee pads and hard hat and given brief training on the Segway. Pleasant trip round the grounds at Ripley but I felt the leader could have paid a little more attention to making sure his group passed safely under a very low branch rather than staying some distance ahead.

What an experience

After a hesitant start riding the Segway became second nature to myself, unfortunately, it was not the same for my wife. She was unable to control the Segway. She was offered individual one to one training but felt safer on her own to feet. I did enjoy the experience and the exercises the staff asked us to do to gain confidence in controlling and riding the Segway. Unfortunately it was over all too soon.

Segway!!!

Me and my husband enjoyed the segwaying and the staff were fab. But got bored and dizzy just going round the track about 50 times i thought we would go round the track a few times and then go round the lake or somewhere else. Needed to go somewhere else other than the track. Also we got there half an hour before and sat around for ages and then at our start time that's when the training started so only had about 40 mins and was expecting an hour.

Mixed Feelings

Pros: Friendly people, and a fairly bumpy 'assault course' to tackle. Cons: It's in the middle of nowhere, down a muddy dirt track, and parking costs £2. You can't use your phone so you have to pay for photos taken by one of the Segway guys. £20 for 2 printed photos plus a memory stick of pictures and a £20 voucher for the next time. Considering the vast area of land it's in, the actual route for the Segways is really quite short. A few hundred yards to a small 'assault course', then back.

Too much time hanging about!

The Segway ride was great but we arrived at 8.30am for registration & safety training. After signing forms nothing happened until 9am, kitted out with safety gear quick training session, then photo shoot, but they missed my wife out? Then we had approx 15mins on the track! Which I felt should have been 30mins?

Poor value for money

The experience was described as 30 minutes and we were instructed to get there 30 minutes in advance for training. However the training was done at the start of the 30 minute session so the actual time on the Segway was only about 20 minutes.

Nothing special

I was expecting more fun as my son did Segway in other countries even when he was way younger and he had better fun than here in fact they did not let him use Segway as he was not 45kg but he was 11+ lol not happy at all
