What happens on the day?
Your tour will begin at the city’s Victorian Mercat Cross, and after meeting your tour guide and historian you’ll be led through the streets and alleys of Edinburgh’s old Town on your way up the Royal Mile towards the dominating Edinburgh Castle.
Your tour includes entry to the castle, so you’ll be able to learn even more of the city’s secrets from the ancient fortress as you’re guided through its paths and across battlements.

Availability
The experience takes place Wednesday to Sunday at 10.00 and 13.00. Date restrictions may apply.
Please note that until the end of February 2022, the tour will be operating Friday, Saturday and Sunday only.
We recommend you book at least two weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes for your experience
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
