What happens on the day?
Upon arrival the two of you will receive a complimentary tea, coffee or cold drink. After meeting the rest of your group and the introduction to your experience, your sea kayak instructor will hand you both a wetsuit and the safety equipment you will need before you are shown to your kayaks.
After an important safety briefing and tuition session on the use of the paddle and the kayak, there’ll be a short minibus ride to one of the favourite kayaking spots and your adventure will begin. You will usually play some warm up games in a small, sheltered harbour before you head out along the coast to discover the hidden delights of this sea kayaker’s dream. During your coastal adventure you will learn about basic kayak strokes and get a real feel for what is an exciting sport for many people. Upon your return to the Eco Lodge, the guides will ask you for help with rinsing the kit in their rain water tubs and then you are free to head home or stick around and enjoy what the rest of this beautiful area has to offer.
