Fancy meeting three inquisitive raccoons? At Millets Falconry Centre, you can make some new furry friends with this Meet and Feed the Raccoons for Two.
After a brief safety talk, you’ll follow one of the keepers who’ll make the introductions. You’ll learn all about these adorable and adaptable creatures, experiencing first-hand their quirky, natural behaviours. The friendly and informative keepers will also give you a unique insight into the care, enrichment techniques and training used to keep the raccoons happy. You’ll even get the chance to feed them some of their favourite snacks.
With all day entry to the rest of the falconry centre included, you can see the other 100 birds of prey, meerkats, skunks, reptiles and more that reside here.

“An epic day out ”
Had a great time at Grizedale Forest GoApe. There is a good mix of activities in the treetop challenge including some epic zip wires. Definitely was pushed out of my comfort zone but always felt safe. The kids in our group loved it. There can be a bit of waiting around between the platforms. Our experience lasted well over three hours from start to finish so allow plenty of time. A very good value experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Millets Falconry Centre, you’ll meet one of the keepers, who will give you a quick safety briefing before making an introduction to the raccoons. You’ll join the keepers inside the enclosure as you learn all about the raccoons and get to know their quirky, natural behaviours.
There’s plenty of time to take photos, and once your experience has finished, you can make the most of all-day entry to the falconry centre, where you can meet more weird and wonderful species.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 10 (under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult (either to participate or the entrance fee to watch))
- Includes all day entry to the falconry centre
- Friends and family are welcome to watch (entrance fees apply)

Availability
Your voucher is valid for 9 months from the date of issue. Please book and use your voucher before the expiry date printed.
The experience is available daily throughout the year. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available (you are advised to allow four to six for weekend bookings) . All bookings are subject to availability.
The encounter will last approximately 30 minutes, please allow additional time to visit the rest of the centre.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
