What happens on the day?
On arrival at Icarus Falconry Centre, you will be warmly welcomed with a tea or coffee and meet the rest of the group.
The session will begin with a guided tour of the centre’s extensive collection before a safety briefing and introduction to the flying team. You’ll get up close and personal to a variety of birds including owls, hawks, eagles and vultures. Groups are kept to a maximum of five participants so you can be sure of a truly hands-on session.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 12 (under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult)
- You should be in reasonable health and have a reasonable level of fitness as some walking may be involved
- Spectators are welcome for a fee - please check when making your booking
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The activity takes place on selected dates Monday to Thursday - please note the centre may be closed at weekends and during the winter months. Bank hoilday mondays are excluded.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 3 hours for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
