What happens on the day?
When you arrive at The Pen and Parchment, you’ll be welcomed by the friendly staff and shown to your comfortable twin or double room. Following a restful sleep, you can tuck into a tasty cooked or continental breakfast.
As part of your stay, you’ll enjoy a finest Sicilian wine tasting at Veeno the Italian Wine Café. This family-run business boasts award-winning wines, and here you’ll be able to sample plenty of them as you learn the history of the business, all while tucking into some delicious Italian appetisers.

Availability
One night stay
Your one night stay is available Sunday to Friday (excludes Saturdays). All bookings are subject to availability.
Please note bookings at the Pen & Parchment will be restricted in the summer months due to high demand.
Check-in is from 14.00 with departure by 11.00 the following morning.
Veeno
The experience is available seven days a week. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available.
Please allow up to 2 hours for your wine tastings.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Silver wedding & 50th birthdays

It’s been really lovely
We had a lovely time in Stratford-upon-Avon. The hotel was cleaned and rustic. Breakfast was huge! The wine tasting was really nice too. We had 3 different wines with a full tray of nibbles. There was a sheet explaining how for each wine we should match the food. Staff was lovely in both places!

Day out at pen and parchment and veenos
Had a virgin experience day at Pen and parchment for a one night stay and Veenos for wine tasting with my wife.. Attentive and polite staff at both venues, the wine tasting was fun with good wine and a mixed platter of food to with it. The Pen and Parchment was clean and efficient. I would definitely go back.

Amazing experience and lovely place to stay
What a great place to stay, right in the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon. The inn is a beautiful listed building and the room was beautifully presented and comfortable. Venom, the Italian restaurant where the tasting was held surpassed all expectations. The wine, food and ambiance were exceptional.

Good experience marred by Virgin booking process
This experience consisted of two separate events (wine tasting + overnight stay), which therefore had to be booked separately, and was difficult to coordinate, as the hotel would not accept provisional bookings or allow amendments, and the wine tasting venue could only be contacted by email. Booking instructions provided by Virgin were also not clear to the point of being inaccurate. The wine tasting was really good, with an excellent and substantial food platter and generous tastings.

Lovely relaxing break
Hotel in good location. Looked a bit shabby from the outside but room was clean and modern with lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Breakfast was great. Evening meal not so good- lots of items unavailable. Wine tasting experience was great- relaxing, fun and great venue. Stratford itself is definitely worth a visit.

Hotel & Wine Tasting Feedback
Recently went on this experience. Sicilian Wine Tasting for Two was fabulous, wine and food tasting was fun and very enjoyable. The overnight stay in the Pen & Parchment was a little noisy as we had a room not far off the main road which was a main route through the town. The location though is excellent as a simple 2 minute walk into the town to visit the shops/local historical sites and other places to eat/drink.

Great location, nice breakfast, room hot and dirty
Really nice breakfast. Great location to explore Stratford. Windows in the room only opened a fraction making it hot and stuffy. Bed and pillows hard and uncomfortable. Room wasn't very clean, could see smears on bedside tables where previous guests had rested drinks, tea and coffee cup/ spoons not clean. Was ok for a one night stay and location was good but not worth at all what we paid for our voucher.
