What happens on the day?
On arrival at The County Hotel, you’ll be warmly greeted and directed to your standard room, offering free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Head out to explore the city on your doorstep, or simply relax in comfort. In the morning, you’ll be served a cooked or continental breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.
On arrival at the helipad in Newcastle, you’ll be given a full safety briefing by the ground crew before jumping into the rear of the helicopter to start your sightseeing tour. There’ll be up to two other people alongside you in the cabin, or one of you can upgrade to the co-pilot seat for an additional fee if you’d like to sit in the front. From then you’ll head out to see the city on a 25 mile journey, with the pilot pointing out all the local landmarks along the way. Cameras are more than welcome, so feel free to take as many pictures as you’d like.

- This experience is not suitable for spectators as participants can only be seen on the take off and landing

Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please book and take your experience before the expiry date.
One Night Stay
Your one night stay is available Sunday to Thursday throughout the year. Excludes bank holiday, city event and high occupancy dates, other exclusions may apply.
Bookings are subject to availability and vouchers cannot be used on city event dates (football, rugby, concerts etc.)
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Check-in will be from 15.00 on the day of arrival and check out will be 11.00 on the morning of departure.
Helicopter Flight
The experience is available selected weekdays and weekends from April to October.
We advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 1 hour for the whole experience, the flight time is approximately 15 minutes. Please ensure you arrive no later than 30 minutes before your flight unless otherwise stated on your email confirmation.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
