London Street Art Photography Tour
About this experience
Take a tour of the streets and street art of London, following an expert guide through East London for a course on photographic creativity with this London Street Art Photography Tour.
You’ll start from Old Street Underground Station, heading into the arty world of East London where practically any surface can be a canvas of one kind or another. You’ll hear about some of the artists that are active in the area while learning how to get the most out of your chosen camera.
From smaller tags to larger pieces and murals, there’s a surprising world of complexity and nuance to the street art scene. Not all of it might be to your taste, but subjectivity is what art’s all about. Get your ISO settings in place and your white balance on the level – whatever help you need to get your pictures looking their best, your guide is there to help on this informative and fun afternoon out.

What happens on the day?
The experience will begin in the concourse of Old Street Underground station where you will meet your guide
and begin the tour. The concourse is the main hub in the centre of the station that connects the underground to the subway exits. The meeting point is around Lennies Bagel Shop.
There'll be a short briefing to determine everyone’s individual skill levels – if you need help, just ask and the guide will be happy to oblige.
Any digital camera is welcome, a 50mm lens advised to take in some of the bigger pieces, but whatever you have on hand will be fine. You’ll wind from Old Street though Shoreditch and Hoxton to end at Brick Lane after a roughly 2 hour walking, talking and pic snapping tour. It’s an all-weather walk, so dress appropriately!

“Awesome day in London ”
Steve was really knowledgeable of the street art, elaborating in the history behind the artists. It was really enjoyable afternoon out, being a photographer himself really helped as he was patient as we stopped, taking pictures en-route.
