London Helicopter Sightseeing Ride for Two

The overall trip was outstanding from the time we eventually go to where we were supposed to be to the end. The instructions were not clear as to where you needed to be on the airfield. We came in by public transport as we do not drive and the instructions as to how you get to the Squadron by foot were non existent. Luckily the chap at the main airfield gate gave us a lift as it was a 2 mile walk and we only had half an hour before the flight. Virgin, you need to review the instructions on how you get to the Squadron hut. The safety brief beforehand was good and the chap was very clear in what needed to be done to keep us safe. The helicopter pilot was very informative and clear in what he was pointing out over London. The flight lasted 25 minutes from take off to landing but due to the amount there was to see etc it seemed much quicker. I have worked in London for a number years and it was interesting seeing the city from a different viewpoint. We had a drink from the bar afterwards and had a chat with a couple of the ground staff. One of them gave us a lift back to the main road just outside the airfield.

Fabulous trip and the lady who greeted us and the two support crew were excellent - deserve a pay rise 😂

Though the actaul expereince was fantastic, the day itself could have gone better. We were diverted from Orsett, where we were supposed to board, to north weald aidfield while en route. This not only prompted frantic internet action. To find where/how to get to the new venue, but added about 20 miles each way to our journey. It messed up our restaurant booking and babysitter costs - all of which had to be rearranged from the car. However, I do suspect the airfield we flew from was better than where we were originally and the actual experience was brilliant.
