About this experience
There’s something indescribable about getting behind the controls of a dumper truck, the feeling of the power beneath your seat and the rumble of the engine. On this JCB Dumper Truck Racing experience you can climb into the driver’s cabin and put your skills to the test on a thrilling race against the clock.
It’s not just best lap times you’ll be trying to beat, as there’ll be fierce competition to prove yourself worthy of the Grand Final as you race around Diggerland’s special course. You’ll need to get to grips with all the wheels, levers and pedals if you’re going to walk away with a certificate of champions, so make sure you’re paying attention when your instructor shows you what’s what.
Every competitor will get at least two race heats in their pursuit of the championship, but only those logging the best times will progress to the Grand Final. We can’t promise that you’ll get there – only your own skills and wits will get you to the top!

“An epic day out ”
Had a great time at Grizedale Forest GoApe. There is a good mix of activities in the treetop challenge including some epic zip wires. Definitely was pushed out of my comfort zone but always felt safe. The kids in our group loved it. There can be a bit of waiting around between the platforms. Our experience lasted well over three hours from start to finish so allow plenty of time. A very good value experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at your chosen Diggerland location, you’ll be greeted by an instructor for a group introduction and welcome to the dumper truck course. You’ll get to race in at least two heats against both the clock and other dumper truck race competitors, with the fastest times and fewest penalty points qualifying for entry into the Grand Final where you can prove your truck driving mettle to win a certificate and bragging rights.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 17
- Sufferers of epilepsy and any other medical condition which prohibits driving are not able to take part in this activity
- Spectators are welcome
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location
Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
This experience is available from April to September, usually on Saturday evenings approximately twice a month. All dates are subject to availability and are on a first come first served basis.
We recommend you book at least two weeks in advance to ensure a date is available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
