About this experience
From the small Barn Owl to the large Eagle Owl, you will have the opportunity to meet and even fly these magnificent birds of the night. Learn the basics of handling these fabulous creatures and pop that special glove on to give it a go for real.
You’ll experience a unique feeling like no other when you witness the owl take flight to leave your arm and then return again. You’ll be blown away by their surprisingly large wingspan and incredible features, this encounter is for bird lovers and wizarding fans everywhere.

“Brilliant, interesting day out”
I would definitely recommend Eagle Heights as a fascinating outing where you come away having learnt a lot. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and Sophie, the bird handler, was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. They are doing a magnificent job of conservation and they fully deserve all the support they can get. We will definitely return!

What happens on the day?
On arrival you will be welcomed by the keeper and given an introduction to the owls. You will meet them and learn a little bit about their lives and their habitats in the wild.
After some basic handling instruction, it is time to experience the thrill first hand as you fly them loose and have them return to your gloved fist. There will be ample opportunities for photographs so don’t forget your camera.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 12 (under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult)
- You should be in reasonable health and have a reasonable level of fitness as some walking may be involved
- Spectators are welcome for a fee - please check when making your booking
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The activity takes place on selected dates - please note the centre may be closed at weekends and during the winter months
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 1 to 2 hours for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Eagle Heights were very accommodating and the handler was very knowledgeable with lots of interesting facts and stories. A good experience if you like owls. Good value for money.

Owl handling was excellent as was the whole experience, birds of prey show was also very good, only down side was the sign for eagle heights should have a direction arrow and the entrance to the site from the car park needs to be improved to make it more inviting
