Introduction to Glassmaking for Two
About this experience
Working with state-of-the-art equipment and professional glassmakers, this Glassmaking Experience for Two has all you need for an exciting and unusual experience you’ll never forget. You’ll be working with hot molten glass straight from the furnace so you’ll need extreme attention to detail and a steady hands as well as creativity to master this skill.
You’ll learn what the equipment in the studio is used for and how to work safely in a challenging environment. You’ll each have the chance to create your own piece of glass work to keep. Your work will need to be left overnight in order to anneal, so it will need to be delivered to you at a later date. This is very much a hands-on experience and you will be joined by other students to work as a team with your tutor. One thing’s for sure, neither of you will ever look at a glass vase in the same way again.

“Great Afternoon ”
Had a brilliant day at the Introduction to Glassmaking in Westcott.
“What an amazing day!”
Had a really fun and interesting day at Bransfield Glassmakers. Small group and 2 very knowledgable and experienced tutors. We even made some great paperweights which look amazing. Different and interactive day. Can’t recommend enough.
“Excellent experience! ”
The ladies leading the session were lovely and very knowledgable! Thoroughly enjoyed the morning in the studio. The only negative I’d say is I think that given how much the experience costs that it is a bit much to ask for another £20 per head when you get there for them to post the work to you after the session (even if you live at the same address). I’d rather this be incorporated into the experience cost - especially if you are buying this as a gift for someone.
