Explore a city near you from a fresh vantage point, or discover somewhere you’ve never visited before. From Perth with its bridges and Scone Palace down to Oxford and the Dreaming Spires, there are 17 cities you can choose from, each with its own great landmarks and features. Your experienced pilot will be able to point out all of the sights as you travel over the buildings and countryside surrounding your chosen city.
Cameras are welcome too, so snap away! As if flying in a helicopter wasn’t jealousy-inducing enough, the pictures you’ll be able to show off afterwards are sure to generate some envious looks.

I’ve been asked to review a helicopter experience. Being well grounded I have to be honest. That wasn’t the experience and though we would have liked to book that one it wasn’t available at this time of year. I’m hoping to redeem that in the spring and ask Virgin to confirm that it has been extended for twelve months as previously confirmed following COVID restrictions Staying at the Behan was excellent. Food brilliant as was the service and comfort of the beautifully furnished surrounds.I

What happens on the day?
On arrival at your chosen helipad you’ll be given a full safety briefing by the ground crew before jumping into the rear of the helicopter to start your sightseeing tour. There’ll be up to two other people alongside you in the cabin, or one of you can upgrade to the co-pilot seat for an additional fee if you’d like to sit in the front. From then you’ll head out to see the nearby city and countryside on a 25 mile journey, with the pilot pointing out all the local landmarks to look out for on the way. Cameras are more than welcome, so feel free to take as many pictures as you’d like.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 6 (under 12s must be accompanied by a paying adult)
- Minimum height: 5ft
- Maximum weight: 18 stone
- You should not take part if you suffer from epilepsy, vertigo or are pregnant
- You should be in reasonable health, if you have any disability or illness that may prevent you from taking part then you must discuss this with you GP before booking
- This experience is not suitable for spectators as participants can only be seen on the take off and landing
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location
Availability
Your voucher is valid for twelve months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before your expiry date.
The experience is available on one weekend day per month from April to October.
Please note, flights are unable to pass directly over the city of Durham as an exclusion zone is in place due to the prison located within the city
We advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 1 hour for the whole experience, the flight time is approximately 15 minutes.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
