Loved every minute of my time at True Grip off road training, made fun by a great instructor (Paul) who really knew his stuff. Explained both simple and technical details in a way that was easy to understand and after taking us on a short drive of the course showing us the maneuvers, I was then put in the driving seat to repeat them and more. I would recommend this to anyone as has left me with a thirst for more it really was in all a great fun filled afternoon.

What happens on the day?
You’ll be welcomed on arrival, before heading out with your professional instructor for tailored 1:1 tuition. Develop your off-road skills as you experience the impressive handling and capabilities of your vehicle, before putting your newfound skills to the test, taking on new terrain in both a Toyota Hilux and Land Rover Discovery Mark 1.
You can expect 2 hours 30 minutes behind the wheel in total – plenty of time to refine your off-roading abilities.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 17
- Minimum height: 5ft
- Full UK driving license required and must be presented on the day
- Up to three passengers over the age of 12 are welcome at an additional charge of £40pp.
- Please note passengers who require a car seat or booster cannot be catered for
- There is no spectator area on site
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
The experience is available Monday to Friday throughout the year. Exclusiuons may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow up to 3 hours 15 minutes for the full experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
