Grab a fellow gin enthusiast and head to the Defiance Gin Academy for this Distill a Shared Bottle of Gin with G&Ts and a Mezze Board for Two.
Kicking things off with a welcome gin each on arrival, you'll be instructed by the master distiller and international winner of 'Best White Spirit' in the world (San Francisco World Spirits 2020). They'll give the two of you a tour of the distillery, all whilst explaining the art and science behind the distillation of Defiance Distillery’s award-winning spirits.
With a gin cocktail each to help fuel creativity, you’ll both get hands-on making a shared bottle of gin, choosing from over 40 botanicals. Tuck into a delicious locally prepared mezze board together, offering the likes of cold cuts cheese, meats and olives. Finishing with a final G&T each, discuss and document your botanicals on your 500ml bottle before you take one home to share.

“An epic day out ”
Had a great time at Grizedale Forest GoApe. There is a good mix of activities in the treetop challenge including some epic zip wires. Definitely was pushed out of my comfort zone but always felt safe. The kids in our group loved it. There can be a bit of waiting around between the platforms. Our experience lasted well over three hours from start to finish so allow plenty of time. A very good value experience.

What happens on the day?
On arrival, the two of you will be warmly welcomed by the Defiance Gin Academy team with a gin each to start your experience. You’ll meet your master distiller as they take you on a tour of the distillery, before giving you a talk about all things gin. With a gin cocktail each to help fuel the creativity, you’ll then get hands-on making your shared bottle of gin, choosing from over 40 botanicals. Your experience also includes a mezze board to share with a selection of cold meats and cheeses, along with an extra G&T while you discuss and document your botanicals on your bottles, ready for you to take one home.

Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please book and take your experience before the expiry date.
The experience is available to be booked Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the year. Excluded dates may apply.
We recommend you book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
