About this experience
With this brilliant Gin and Vodka School Experience at Nelson’s Distillery for Two, you’ll learn the ins and outs of what it takes to make delicious gin or vodka. Kicking things off with a tea or coffee and a distillery tour (Uttoxeter only), you’ll be taken through some of the processes before choosing the botanicals for a gin or vodka of your very own and enjoying a G&T.
You’ll have your own mini-still to work on your own signature spirit. After a short lunch break complete with a G&T it’ll be time to bottle and label your prize concoction. With a brilliant range of botanicals, there’s something sure to please every palate. At the end of the day, you’ll take home a 70cl bottle of your personalised concoction to share.
In addition, the distillery keeps a record of each botanical blend, so if you want to order further bottles of your unique spirit, all you have to do is get in touch!

What happens on the day?
On arrival at Nelson’s Distillery, you’ll be welcomed by your host for the day and be able to relax with a tea or coffee. Having been taken through some of the processes and a tour of the main still (Uttoxeter venue only), you’ll be able to choose your botanicals for use in your shared gin or vodka.
Armed with a G&T each, your chosen botanicals and mini-still, you’ll get to work distilling your personalised spirit. Following a leisurely lunch with a G&T each, you’ll bottle up and label your own batch and take home a bottle to share.

Availability
This experience will be available on selected dates throughout the year.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure a date is available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 4 hours (5 hours at Uttoxeter venue) for the whole experience (starting at 10.00 and finishing at approximately 14.00 or 15.00 at Uttoxeter).
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
