Discover the secrets of delicious Thai food with the Full Day Thai Cookery Class at the Cooking Academy. You’ll elevate simple ingredients to delicious culinary levels to create authentic cuisine, with a selection of dishes such as Thai Red Curry, Fish Cakes, Spring Rolls, Chicken Soup and Galangal, all in one hands-on class.
Your expert tutor will break down the details about all the herbs and spices, so you’ll know when to use them and the ingredients they work well with. This full day class is suitable for all skill levels; all that’s required is enthusiasm to learn and get cooking. The class will have a maximum of six participants, so you’ll receive plenty of one to one tuition to ensure you leave armed with loads of newfound knowledge.

What happens on the day?
On arrival participants will be registered and be offered beverages of their choice. The day starts with a brief introduction to the spice trail followed by a session of making traditional Thai curry pastes; after which you will cook a number of dishes.
All beverages, wines and beers are included in the experience. Each participant will receive an information and recipe pack including details of what has been cooked on the day. Lunch is included but participants have the option of taking home what they have made in the class.

Availability
The Cooking Academy runs a variety of courses on varying days from Monday to Saturday, September to July. Please check their website to find out the dates and times of your course of interest. Classes run from 10.00 to 16.00
We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow a total time of 6 hours, although actual time participating will be approximately 5 hours 30 minutes.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Had a fabulous day, with some lovely people. Made some amazing tasty dishes in a relaxed atmosphere with a great teacher who was very passionate about her cooking and gave us lots of information about the dishes and the ingredients used. Would definitely recommend the Thai cookery day.
