About this experience
Get out in the wild for a day’s foraging in Pembrokeshire, before feasting on a multi-course dinner of your freshly collected ingredients.
An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are few better places for foraging. You’ll follow your expert guide over two sessions, visiting different areas of the shoreline and countryside to search and gather. You’ll learn about a wide range of ingredients that can be foraged, how our ancestors used them, as well as information on which plants and fungi to avoid.
Goods gathered, you’ll head back to base where you’ll clean and prep your ingredients. Your guide Matt once worked with Raymond Blanc and at many other Michelin starred establishments. He’ll create a sublime multi-course dinner for you, elevating your simple, fresh ingredients to fine dining standards. A truly unique experience that is as fascinating as it is delicious.

“Fabulous Day”
I had the foraging course bought for me off my children. It was an absolutely fabulous day, Matt is so passionate and knowledgeable about what he does and taught us how to forage the estuary and the woodland in a sustainable way. As if that wasn’t enough he then cooked an absolutely wonderful 7 course meal based on what had been collected. This is a day that we will be remembered for years to come.

“Afantastic experience”
As this was our first foraging experience, we were unsure what to expect - but were not disappointed. Matt was really friendly, very knowledgeable and happy to share his expertise regarding foraging as well as really useful cooking hints and tips. The meal he produced including home made bread, butter and cheese, as well as using the produce we had gathered during the day was amazing. His attention to detail regarding flavour combinations and plating were astonishing. A fantastic experience.
“Christmas Present”
We had no control of the weather but the Foraging Experience was an exceptional way to get out in the fresh air and be guided on what could be found in the local woodlands and sea shore for free. This was all brought together in a special seven course meal prepared by our chef & guide Matt Powell, who was very knowledgeable about his foraging craft.
