Overview
Get out in the wild for a day’s foraging in Pembrokeshire, before feasting on a multi-course dinner of your freshly collected ingredients.
An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are few better places for foraging. You’ll follow your expert guide over two sessions, visiting different areas of the shoreline and countryside to search and gather. You’ll learn about a wide range of ingredients that can be foraged, how our ancestors used them, as well as information on which plants and fungi to avoid.
Goods gathered, you’ll head back to base where you’ll clean and prep your ingredients. Your guide Matt once worked with Raymond Blanc and at many other Michelin starred establishments. He’ll create a sublime multi-course dinner for you, elevating your simple, fresh ingredients to fine dining standards. A truly unique experience that is as fascinating as it is delicious.

Fabulous Day
I had the foraging course bought for me off my children. It was an absolutely fabulous day, Matt is so passionate and knowledgeable about what he does and taught us how to forage the estuary and the woodland in a sustainable way. As if that wasn’t enough he then cooked an absolutely wonderful 7 course meal based on what had been collected. This is a day that we will be remembered for years to come.

Afantastic experience
As this was our first foraging experience, we were unsure what to expect - but were not disappointed. Matt was really friendly, very knowledgeable and happy to share his expertise regarding foraging as well as really useful cooking hints and tips. The meal he produced including home made bread, butter and cheese, as well as using the produce we had gathered during the day was amazing. His attention to detail regarding flavour combinations and plating were astonishing. A fantastic experience.

Christmas Present
We had no control of the weather but the Foraging Experience was an exceptional way to get out in the fresh air and be guided on what could be found in the local woodlands and sea shore for free. This was all brought together in a special seven course meal prepared by our chef & guide Matt Powell, who was very knowledgeable about his foraging craft.

Brilliant day
We had a great day with Matt. We joined another couple for the day. We all enjoyed the day. Matt took us to the seashore, estuary and forest. We found all manner of food. Matt and Sean then cooked a memorable meal in cramped conditions. I would strongly recommend the experience. We learnt so much from the day.

Superb day and sensational meal
Exploring the hedgerows and foreshore of Pembrokeshire discovering the safely edible foods. In the evening an amazing 10 course tasting menu. The food told a real story of Pembrokeshire and was better than many Michelin star, fine dining restaurants I have eaten at! Matt was enthusiastic, and extremely knowledgeable. He was also keen to share his skills with us all. It was a day and a meal to remember. Definitely a “must visit” venue for anyone who appreciates fine food.

Fishing & Foraging -Wales
An excellent day from start to finish, Matt Powell our guide for the day and chef for the evening introduced us to a new world of food. He gave us a clear explanation of the various plants and seaweeds we found and how they could be used, then in the evening his 7 course meal was a complete revelation.

The BEST Day!
What a fantastic way to see Pembrokeshire and learn about our landscape. We spent a full day out in the fresh air, in the woods, the estuary and on the beach. Matt is so knowledgable about the area and the food that grows there. The food in the evening was incredible! We have never eaten food that good!! And the presentation was just perfect. Matt and his lovely family were so welcoming to us. We cannot thank them enough! We would highly recommend this experience. It's one we won't forget.

An absolutely fabulous day
We had an amazing day with Matt, so knowledgable of what to forage and the food he prepared was spectacular. You also get to see Pembrokeshire in a completely different light and how that translates to welsh inspired dishes. Matt is a really friendly guy, so easy to get on with too. Would highly recommend!

Full Day Foraging and seven course dinner for two
This was a truly wonderful day, far exceeding expectations. Matt Powell (our host) has a tremendous knowledge of plants and also the local history. Matt met us at 10 a.m. and after a full days foraging in the estuary, woods, and on the rocky beach, we had a short rest before a unique dinner. Matt is a superb chef and his presentation is outstanding. We cannot praise Matt highly enough for this wonderful experience. We got home about 10 p.m. Very highly recommended. Thank you.

Wonderful!
My wife booked this experience for me for our wedding anniversary and what a brilliant present it turned out to be. We were met on arrival by Matt and immediately made to feel very welcome by our host for the day, whose comprehensive knowledge of the areas flora & fauna and general natural history, coupled with his culinary expertise helped create a unique experience I would thoroughly recommend. After foraging in three different areas of beautiful local coastline we returned to Matt’s base where he proceeded to cook course after course of innovative cuisine all based on the responsibly foraged bounty and his interpretation of how this represented the local environment it was so freshly harvested from. What a wonderful host, what a day, what a wonderful experience, what a present.

Simply superb
This is a hidden gem - Matt is full of knowledge and extremely relaxed and a gentlemen personified. An interesting but chilled day out at the sea, in the estuaries and in the woods hunting down previously unknown edibles and some old favourites- all through stunning countryside. Then the magic really happens - as on return Matt turns from forager to pop up Michelin Chef creating miracles from his bijou kitchen; a truly extraordinary dining experience- 5 Star cuisine and all locally sourced.
