What happens on the day?
On arrival at the Gloucestershire Airport Site, you’ll be warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. You’ll kick things off with a pre-flight briefing, before heading into your Boeing 737 to take your Captain’s seat in the full sized cockpit.
You can tailor your flight exactly as you wish, with weather conditions, time of day and preferred airports all up to you. Whether a complete beginner or an aviation aficionado, you’ll be guided by a professional instructor through take-off, flight and landing, ensuring you get the most out of your experience. You can choose a lucky friend to sit in the jump seat, and two more guests can view through the cockpit door, guaranteeing that everyone can feel part of the fun.

Participant guidelines
- Minimum age: 12. (Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- Minimum height: 4ft 8in (participants will struggle to see out of the window below this height as the simulator has authentic Boeing seats)
- Maximum height: 6ft 8in (Cheltenham only)
- Access to the simulator requires some physical dexterity, the cockpit is real size and a bit of a squeeze. You should be able to lift both legs at least 1 to 2 feet off the floor without assistance
- Wheel chair access is restricted
- This experience is not suitable for anyone with photo sensitive epilepsy
- When turning up for your experience please inform the instructor if you suffer from motion sickness. During the session the simulator can be stopped at any time
- Participants are welcome to bring up to two guests with them to join them in the cockpit to observe the experience or as many as they wish to wait in the reception area. Those in reception area will not be able to see the experience.
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location
Availability
The experience runs seven days a week all year round (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve & New Years Day).
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available.This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow 1 hour 15 minutes for the full experience, you will spend 45 minutes aboard the flight simulator.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Given this experience as a Christmas present..always been interested in flight...anyway the the whole booking experience was simple...the chief instructor Simon burn ham was a very colourful character who put you at ease and his instructions were very good...had several goes at landing in different locations and felt I had my money’s worth...in fact I would more than happily do this again

This was a truly amazing experience which was so well organised. The instructor was so helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable and made the occasion a thoroughly unforgettable time. I was able to pilot the plane into my local airport and return to simulate a landing at Bristol Airport where I had experienced some interesting landings in real life. I would thoroughly recommend this experience.
