Kitted out with all the necessary gear, your adventure begins with a trip down the “little zip wire” before you’re transported up the mountain in style in red army trucks, ready to take on Velocity 2. Once strapped in, you’ll both be sent soaring on the world’s fastest and the UK’s longest zip line, flying across the quarry lake to the bottom. Reaching speeds of up to and above 100mph, soak up breath-taking views of Penrhyn quarry and North Wales.
Once back on firm ground, experience the adrenaline of go kart racing like never before on the UK’s first mountain cart racetrack in the Penrhyn Quarry mountains. Explore the unique 3km dirt track, enjoying two full runs of sweeping bends, hair-raising hairpins, tunnels, chicanes and banked corners.

What happens on the day?
Arriving 30 minutes before your booking, you’ll be welcomed and checked in by the staff. The adventure will begin with a detailed safety briefing before you’re kitted out in harnesses and helmets. You’ll then walk to the ''little zip'' line, which is a shorter zip line that serves as an introduction before the main Velocity 2 line. Then, you’ll be transported in red army trucks up the mountain. From here, there’s an undercover waiting area (heated in winter). Once you’re strapped in, you’ll be sent flying across the quarry lake to the bottom. Please allow at least two hours for the full experience.
Next up, you’ll be given a safety briefing ahead of the go-karting experience and receive all the necessary equipment before being given full rein to explore the track unaided. Celebrate your win at an additional cost at the on-site bistro-style restaurant, serving locally-sourced delights.

- Minimum age: 15
- Please note that one participating adult must accompany children aged 17 and younger
- Minimum height: 4ft 4in
- Maximum height: 6ft 8in
- Minimum weight: 4 stone 10lbs
- Maximum weight: 18 stone 11lbs (this can be lower in extreme weather conditions)
- Medical conditions such as heart problems, claustrophobia or epilepsy may increase your chance of having an accident - please check with the supplier prior to booking to see if you are suitable for this experience
- Unfortunately this experience is not suitable for those suffering with high blood pressure or for pregnant women
- Spectators can watch the zip line from the adventure terminal or Blondin Restaurant
- The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary
Availability
Your voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please ensure that this is booked and used before the expiry date shown.
This experience is available seven days a week between March and September. Availability during the winter and off-peak periods is reduced. Excluded dates may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
You are required to arrive 30 minutes before your booked time slot. Please allow approximately 3 hours 30 minutes for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
