Had a good time with toddler in tow
We had a good time seeing the big birds. The show was great and my first experience with huge birds being so close. Afternoon tea was served as per our request (vegetarian).

What a great visit
The day was extremely hot and I was so pleased that the staff at Eagle Heights considered the well being of the birds on such a hot day. The afternoon tea was delicious with attentive staff near by willing to change anything or bring more tea. They even overlooked the fact that my husband poured tea into the milk jug! The surroundings are peaceful, you can stay there soaking up the peace quite happily.

Excellent value & experience
Contrary to another review I saw, this place does a flying display regardless of the weather - they have an indoor arena if needed. Given that, £10 entrance is fantastic value. It's not the biggest bird of prey centre, but they do have quite a few (maybe 20) birds, plus rescued dogs, goats, sheep, alpacas/llamas and ostrich! The birds include about 5-6 types of Eagle, many owls, vulture, falcon & other big birds. The flying display was very impressive. Highly recommend.

Brilliant
Excellent experience, which started with hot tea, sandwiches, cakes and scones (with cream). Then a walk around the whole place to see all the eagles, owls, Cana Cana, huskies and alpacas. This was followed by a very informative and amusing demonstration showing some of the huge eagles, owls and Cana Cana. All in all a lovely couple of hours enjoyed immensely.

Great day out
Was bought a voucher for an afternoon tea and to watch the display. We really enjoyed our time. They did well working within the covid 19 restrictions and we felt safe. The flying display was excellent and the commentary was informative and entertaining. I would have liked longer to look around at all the other animals though. Would recommend a visit there.

eagle heights
had the afternoon tea package. enjoyed the flying display (despite the wind and rain) with some stunning birds who walked and flew between members of the audience. the speaker was very good with knowledge and humour when the bald eagle disappeared for a little fly on her own (came back 15 mins later). afternoon tea was nice also

Enjoyable day out
Excellent flying display, eagles, owls, falcons to name a few. The down side cafeteria is a little bit tired, the staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Lot of new enclosures being built should be a lot better experience when competed.

Wish we had visited before
Friendly, helpful staff. We arrived for the 12 noon flying display had a look around, went for a lovely tea. We also attended the afternoon display. Excellent. The staff do their best to make sure everyone enjoys their day. We would visit again as this experience was a Christmas present from our relatives in New Zealand.

Great day out
Really enjoyed our day at Eagle Heights. A wide selection of birds of prey and the extra attraction of the huskies and other animals. The flying displays were probably the best I have seen with the birds given a lot of freedom to behave as they wish rather than being expected to do party tricks. And the tea was very nice too.

Lovely day
I got this Afternoon Tea at Eagle Heights for my Birthday, My sister and I went on the 19th June 2019. When we arrived at the centre, we were pleasantly surprised. The Birds and of course other animals are all very well cared for and looked after, it is easy to tell that they love the Birds and other animals. I was impressed that all animals had CLEAN water, and toys in enclosures to play with, the staff were helpful informative, and the amazing birds of prey being flown. I will go back.

Great place
Amazing place, not the biggest sanctuary but well worth a visit. Great place for kids and adults. The huskies are wonderful, lots of them are rescued from people who can’t look after them. The birds of prey are stunning along with the views. If you love Meerkats you will love them here. Go and take a visit and help all these beautiful creatures.

Despite weather had a nice time
Afternoon tea was nice, a couple more cakes would have been acceptable. Unfortunately the weather was against us so the birds didn't want to fly which wasn't the venues fault. Nice friendly and helpful staff.

Interesting
The flying display was excellent, the demonstration of the birds skills and the knowledge of the expert made the display very enjoyable. The cream tea afterwards was also very good. Limited number of things to see, but great for a half day visit.

afternoon tea for two
wanted to cancel and re arrange due to last minute medical problem, told they needed five days notice as per their terms and conditions which I should read, however I could not access these, also that as it was booked through Virgin they needed fourteen days notice as per the terms and conditions. None of this is mentioned on the website, or I could get a gp note!! Enjoyed what was available, lots of building work to upgrade. staff friendly, helpful tea was nice. animals seemed o.k.

A lovely gift
My husband and I enjoyed our afternoon tea. A variety of animals to see but the raptor experience was excellent. The handlers were funny and very informative and had an obvious connection with the birds. Would recommend visiting here especially when the refurbishment is complete.

First time visit
Staff very very friendly, cream tea and finger sandwiches very nice. No flying display due to rain. A lot of improvement and enlargement works going on. As a charity they look after a lot of different animals. Huskies, servals and crocodile among the many. Great afternoon

Nice afternoon tea
We used our Virgin points to get this experience for free, so we can't grumble at the value for money! We would have been disappointed if we had paid for this experience. The afternoon tea was good (although the scones and cakes were shop bought and not home made) and the staff were very nice and friendly, but much of the centre is being renovated and it felt like we were walking round a building site at times. The range of birds was good and the meerkats cute, only keeps you busy for 1-2 hours.

Tea for two
Not as good as I thought it would be, a lot of renovation work being done, not a lot of animals there apparently there are lots coming once work is completed The lady in the tea room was very nice, and the tea for two was adequate, although the room could do with a good clean, window frames full of cobwebs and dust.
