About this experience
Follow the guidance of an award-winning photographer as you get to grips with creating the perfect picture, the composition of your snaps and what an f/stop is with this Discovering Photography Course for one.
Designed for beginners, this course is perfect for picking up all you need to know about lenses, depth of field, white balance and more so you can get out and start taking award-winning pictures of your own.
You’ll take to the streets of London to learn the fundamentals of photography after a quick run-through the basics, with your leader taking the helm. It’s a half-day course, so you’ll also have plenty of time afterwards to put all your newfound skills to good use.

What happens on the day?
You’ll arrive at the studios at 10.00 or 13.00 with your camera in-hand (there are no cameras provided) and ready to learn something new, potentially armed with a notebook if you want to write some of your lessons down.
After greeting your award-winning photography tutor you’ll be taken through all of the features that you need to make your photos fantastic, before heading out into the wide world of London to put your lessons into practice.

Availability
Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue, kindly note that you must have booked and taken your experience before the expiry date as vouchers may not be extended beyond their expiration date
This experience is available on selected Saturdays throughout the year.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

“Great for novice photographers ”
Course partly class based and then remaining time taken outdoors. Aimed for DSLR camera users who haven’t discovered the manual options on the camera. Professional photographer Vehbi explained these features and showed examples with some of his work. He took the class outside for us to practice taking photos using what we learnt. Enjoyed the course, small class numbers made it easy for tutor to attend to us, would have liked a bit longer time. Location ok, close to tube station.
