Overview
Savour a traditional afternoon tea served in a mansion overlooking the Yorkshire Dales, and bring a friend to join you with this Deluxe Afternoon Tea for Two at Solberge Hall.
Built in 1824 and filled with character, the Georgian Solberge Hall sits between the Yorkshire Dales and the Vale of York and acres of stunning scenery. You’ll be able to soak it all in from your seats in the hotel’s Garden Room Brasserie, looking out across the garden greenery as you’re served one of life’s great joys: a delicious afternoon tea.
You’ll get to choose your dainty finger sandwiches from a menu including smoked salmon, Yorkshire ham, roast beef and more, each to be enjoyed alongside homemade fruit scones served with strawberry preserve and clotted cream. There’ll also be a tray of the Solberge Hall chef’s homemade cakes, ideal for indulging that sweet tooth and going perfectly with your choice of black, fruit or green teas or Fairtrade Arabica bean coffee.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at the Solberge Hall Hotel in Yorkshire you’ll be shown through to the Garden Room Brasserie to take your seats with a menu to choose you sandwich selection from.
You’ll both be served your selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserves, a selection of homemade cakes and of course, your choice of tea or coffee.

This experience is available seven days a week throughout the year, excluding Christmas, New Year and Valentines.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
Please allow approximately 2 hours for your tea.
You are welcome to stroll around the hotel’s grounds before of after your experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Best afternoon tea
Waited over 12 months to enjoy afternoon tea at Solberge Hall, due to Covid restrictions but it was well worth waiting for. The customer service, welcome, and view of the gardens was beautiful. Then came the selection of food and have to say each mouthful was better than the last one. Excellent produce was used and the selection of cakes and the traditional scone was beautiful. Highly recommend you visit and treat yourself, you won't be disappointed. Thanks to all involved.

SOLBERGE HALL
Just had a Deluxe Afternoon tea for two at Solberge Hall near Northallerton. This was a gift from our daughter. What a lovely peaceful location and a delightful historic old hall. We had a lovely positioned window table facing the garden. Service was very quick and welcoming, there was a good choice of sandwiches plus scones with clotted cream and jam, all topped off with some fancy cakes. Certainly one to repeat..

Afternoon Tea
This was very nice, only complaint was the tea was brought out a long time before the food, therefore it was only luke warm by the time we were half way through the sandwiches. I did ask if it was possible to be provided with a fresh small pot of tea but it never arrived. The room where the afternoon was served was nice and light with a lovely view of the nearby countryside.

Smashing Afternoon Tea at the Solberge
Very welcoming and friendly staff. The afternoon tea was fabulous. The Solberge is easy to get to. A place with character in lovely, picturesque surroundings.

A good way to spend an afternoon.
I was delighted with my afternoon tea. The sandwiches were freshly made, scones were good, as were the cakes. The atmosphere in the hotel was friendly, the waitress extremely helpful and cheerful.

Birthday treat for my loving wife
The virgin experience was a Xmas gift from our daughter and I chose the location for my wife's birthday. the choice was superb, the staff were pleasant and very attentive and the food was delicious the only problem was there was too much.we only went for the deluxe high tea but because of the occasion they still gave us a complementary glass of champagne which we thought was a really nice touch.we would recommend this for anyone

Fabulous afternoon
My husband and I had a lovely afternoon tea at Solberge Hall Hotel. The food was lovely and the staff extremely pleasant and attentive. We loved the location and certainly plan on returning.

Felix Afternoon Tea
Lovely surroundings and staff very helpful and friendly. Dirty tea cup needed changing and bread was a little dry on the sandwiches. Very good choice of sandwich fillings and the cake selection. In all a very enjoyable afternoon.
