What happens on the day?

You will arrive at Jean-Christophe’s home between 10.30 and 11.00 to join your exclusive group and have light refreshments. Your Masterclass will start at 11.00 when you will be joined by the charismatic Jean-Christophe and his expert team for interactive demonstrations, tasting and hands-on sessions.

Throughout the day you will learn Jean-Christophe’s expert techniques and culinary secrets, and the hands-on time will usually include a selection from the following:

Intensive knife skills and dexterity work
Bread/pizza or pasta making
fileting and/or boning
French cookery terms
Caramel work (including Jean-Christophe’s world-famous caramel springs
Engaging spice workshop, or other exciting activities chosen by Jean-Christophe.

Finally you will sit down to a late 3-course lunch with wines or soft drinks and a chance to chat informally and ask any burning questions. Also included in this experience is a night’s stay at a 4* hotel, so you can fully enjoy the day without worrying about getting home.

Availability

Courses are held on selected dates (usually on a Saturday) throughout the year.

We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow up to 6 hours for the masterclass. Courses start at 11.00 and finish around 16.30. Please allow for an overnight stay following your cookery class.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
