This splendid hotel is set in the centre of the historic market town Alnwick in Northumberland and is steeped in 300 years' of history. You are sure to feel its charm as soon as you enter. You may spot the eye catching stained glass windows in the Olympic Suite Restaurant, these windows along with the panelling, mirrors and the ceiling were salvaged from the RMS Olympic - The Titanic’s sister ship. The rest of the hotel is just as delightful as you will discover upon taking your afternoon tea in the lounge.
You will be served a glass of chilled champagne each along with a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with cream and strawberry preserves and a selection of cakes fresh from the kitchen. Tea or coffee will be served to round of your enchanting afternoon together at the White Swan Hotel.

“Exceeded expectations”
We've had afternoon teas at a few places, the most swanky being Fortnum & Mason. The food at The White Swan was certainly at least as good as theirs, and much better than at Kew Gardens. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We were on a week's holidaywith our dog, who accompanied us to The White Swan, and consequently we ate in the reception area rather than the restaurant. Not an issue for us, and good to know dogs are welcome. Look in on hotel's Olympian restaurant - very impressive.

What happens on the day?
On your arrival at the White Swan Hotel you will be greeted by a member of staff and shown to the hotel’s impressive lounge. Here, you will be served an array of tea time treats.
Tuck into a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes, scones with cream and jam as well as a choice of fine tea or coffee. You will also be served a glass of chilled champagne to ensure you really enjoy this delightful afternoon in a relaxed, elegant and historic setting.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
