Create your own bespoke watch from scratch at Kartel’s luxurious flagship store in St. Andrews.
You’ll be warmly welcomed by the master watch builder. Local whisky and beer are the order of the day, along with fresh local fruit and Scottish tablet. Learn the history of manufacturing and the story of Kartel, before browsing the range of watch components, with a choice of case designs and straps available in cashmere, leathers and wool.
Assemble and create your wristwatch, before further personalising it with a bespoke engraving, operating the machine yourself to add text or even a handwritten message. An experience that stands the test of time, this one’s yours to enjoy long after the day’s over.

What happens on the day?
You’ll be met by the master watch builder at the workshop, within Kartel’s luxurious flagship store.
After an overview of the history of local watch manufacturing and the story of Kartel, you’ll create your own timepiece, choosing the watch case, the straps, and using the engraving machine to add a bespoke finishing touch. Local whisky, beer and snacks are provided throughout the day. You can take home your finished creation to treasure long after the day’s over.
Please note booking price includes the Isla, Morris and Hume styles which come with a choice of casing and face colours, numerals and a wide range of straps. Additional watch styles will be available on the day as upgraded options. Any supplemental costs incurred by their selection will be payable direct to Kartel.

Availability
The experience is available Monday to Friday starting at 11.00 or 14.00, and Saturdays at 11.00. Exclusions may apply.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.
