Overview
Learn the ins and outs of beer and brewing from one of the Brewhouse and Kitchen’s knowledgeable beer experts and sample several beers as you go.
Not all beers are created equal, each have their own flavours and nuances to discover with the help of a brewing master. Brewhouse & Kitchen is passionate about all things beer related to the point where they make their own craft beers on site, some of which you’ll get to try as you work your way through eight different beer styles. There's also a fun quiz to test your newfound knowledge.
There’ll be nibbles on offer throughout so you won’t be sampling on an empty stomach, and you’ll finish with a delicious gourmet meat or vegetarian burger meal as the ideal end to 2 hours of beery perfection.

What happens on the day?
On arrival at your chosen Brewhouse & Kitchen you’ll be greeted by a member of staff and meet your beer expert before getting down to a masterclass of beer and brewing.
You’ll sample several amazing beers from all over the world, including some that are even brewed on-site in their very own micro-brewery, and learn to appreciate their subtle and varied flavours, served with a selection of nibbles. After the sampling is over you’ll get to chow down on your choice of gourmet burger and side of fries, the ideal beer-tasting refuel.

Availability
This experience is available on selected Weekdays and Saturdays throughout the Year. Although Brewhouse & Kitchen tend to run their Beer Masterclasses in groups of 6 or 8, as they say it is better fun in a group, they will endeavour to accommodate your preferred date and time.
We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Please allow approximately 2 hours for the whole experience.
What about insurance?
The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Great beer experience

Brilliant Beer, Burgers and company
The whole experience was brilliant. We were with 2 other men who were talkative and the gentleman leading the tasting was fantastic, so much knowledge and a good laugh too. A great variety of beers and a all were delicious and perfect evening finished with a delicious meal.

Great experience
We were made very welcome by Charles and Tommy. Charles was very knowledgeable and informative about each of the 8 beers we tasted. All very different and varying in strength. Excellent burger and chips to finish off a fun afternoon. Would definitely recommend - even for a beer novice.

Great Experience
I bought this Experience for my Husband before Covid 19 struck. We finally got round to it on 22/8/20 and it was a great Experience at the Brewhouse & Kitchen in Southsea. Our Beer 'Guide' was a nice chap called George. He was very knowledgeable and we had a fun time and enjoyed the Beers and the Gourmet Burger. This is a great gift for anyone and would buy again for someone.

Excellent Afternoon
Went to Brewer and Kitchen in Islington, Dan our host was very knowledgeable. We sampled 8 very different beers and found the whole 2 hours lots of fun. The Burger and chips at the end was very much needed to soak up some of the alcohol and was very tasty.

A fantastic birthday present
I bought this for my husband's 30th and he went with his dad. I was worried it would be a bit of a "blokey" thing and neither of them are like that, but they ended up absolutely loving it and both got so much out of it. My husband was impressed by many of the beers and it introduced him to some he would never have considered before. They both also enjoyed the meal. All in all, I highly recommend!

A great experience excellent value
With eight samples to taste and a very detailed and knowledgable host to describe the beers and the flavours we came away feeling educated and a little tipsy. The burger at the end was extremely tasty and with several veggie options it's suitable for all. Each sample was about a third of a pint and varied from a basic lager through bitter, IPA, APA and a very strong peanut butter flavoured stout (doesn't actually contain nuts). Well impressed thanks virgin and Brewhouse and kitchen.

Beer Masterclass
This was a very enjoyable experience. Sam, who gave the masterclass, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He answered any queries we had about the brewing process and the eight beers we sampled with alacrity, and we both agreed after the Masterclass, whilst enjoying our burger meal, that we had learned a lot. Moreover, we were allowed plenty of time to savour each of the beers before discussing and learning about them. I would recommend this experience to any aficionado of good beer.

Good beer, good food - great experience
Went with my son to the Brewhouse and Kitchen in Wilmslow for the Beer Masterclass and Tastings plus Burger meal. Thoroughly enjoyable experience at a very nice pub with great guidance from our brewery expert Pat. Short tour of the actual micro-brewery and then on to a series of tastings with Pat providing interesting information on the different brewing techniques used to deliver eight very different beers. Enjoyed all the beers with the possible exception of the peanut butter stout!

Recommended
Warm welcome followed by entertaining tasting session with the in-house brewer. Great selection of (8) beers and the burger (with chips) was tasty. Just over two hours and a bit merry at the end so take the train or taxi.

What a delightful experience
We didn't know what to expect when we got there . The experience of knowledge and how our meeting went was first class . Conner our brewer made it relaxing and very interesting indeed . Conner went through in detail the process of beer making. I could see the normal 2 hours was not going to be long enough for the information being told to us and the beer tasting but Conner and us were all wrapped up in the experience . We couldn't of had a better person looking after us . Cheers CONNER.

Brilliant!
If you know someone that likes beer this is a great gift! This is very much a tasting rather than tour but we learnt some interesting things and I can say I won’t ever look at beer in such a simple way again! The person leading our masterclass was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The meal afterwards was lovely as well, we opted for their cheeseburger. Cant fault it - overall a fab day out!

Superb evening!
When I finally got round to booking the Beer Masterclass that wifey had bought me for Christmas I found that the voucher is only valid for 6 months and it costs £20 to extend it!!! However, the evening was superb! Felix, the head brewer, has such a HUGE knowledge and passion for his subject. I went with a very knowledgeable friend and even he learnt so much from Felix! We are defiantly going to return to do the Master Brewers course!

Excellent way to spend an afternoon
This was an informative and enjoyable visit to the Lichfield Brewhouse. Both of the resident Brewers were friendly and absolutely knew all about beers of the world and the process. At no time did we feel rushed everything was at our pace. The food choice was excellent. Highly recommend this experience.

Great Evening out
We did this at the Brewhouse & Kitchen in Horsham. What an amazing venue. Its clean, its neat, its cosy.... and the staff are truly amazing. So friendly and welcoming. The Session was really good, Tom took us through all the beers and was extremely knowledgeable. The Food choices were very good, not just burgers.... We will definatley return. We felt so comfortable there we even stayed for the pub quiz! We didnt win, but were very pleased with 18/20 in the music round. :)

Evening we’ll spent
So glad I was able to experience this. Had a really great evening tasting lots of beers and hearing really interesting facts and history of beer. Hats off to head brewer ‘Riaz’ kept the evening flowing and had a really good knowledge of the brewing industry...top man! Burger and fries to round off the evening was delicious! Brilliant beer tasting
We had a fantastic time at Brewhouse & Kitchen in Chester. Matthew, the head brewer, was so passionate about his job and so knowledgeable of brewing. He was really welcoming and made the whole experience very enjoyable. All the different beers were great and the gourmet burgers were really tasty. Would definitely recommend, thanks!

The best education?
An excellent fun evening that was relaxing, leisurely and thoroughly enjoyed by my brother and myself. New knowledge was delivered in an education of beer that opened our taste buds and enthusiasm to be more adventurous and selective about what we buy and drink. Beer Masterclass
Had a real nice afternoon with a very nice host who knew his beer facts. Had some lovely beers (some I enjoyed more that others) but that was the idea of the afternoon some good information on beers through the ages and a short tour of the brewing facilities. Finished off with a gourmet burger and fries and all in all a very pleasant afternoon thanks to the guy who gave us the experience very entertaining and enjoyable time.
